My first complaint is why do they have atleast 3 staff members in the front area and yet none of them can run a register? Its almost like they expect me to use their register to check myself out. Well if I have to go get my own stuff, then I have to carry it to the front, scan my stuff, bag it, pay for it, load it in my own vehicle, and then take it to where I am going to be using it, what do they have staff in the store for? A simple drone can unload a truck and put the merchandise on a shelf. Bringing me to the pro desk to be checked out. Why would anyone put a kid maybe 17 years old (Tyler) who can't tell the difference between threaded rod and anchor bolts on the pro desk. (10 minutes waiting and 2 customers behind me waiting.) It was faster for me to physically walk to the shelf to get a skew number then having a kid try to find it in the system.
My second complaint: There was also the part of the trip when the response time is horrible, when I asked one staff member (Dan or Don) for an item from the top shelf maybe 15 feet in the air, he had to call out for someone else 3x, rather then to retrieve the item for me. Then that person had to find a ladder to get the item. (15 minutes waiting)
Then the third complaint: The entire time I was in the store I was never even asked if I was in need of assistance, I had to track down employees for assistance. When we (my 2year old son and I) would pass a staff member, my son would always greet them and it was always ignored and he is not quiet and can easily be heard from 8 feet away.
Luckily I have had better experience in this store before and know where most of the items are or this would be a lot lower rating. The staff use to be so friendly and helpful always going to get things I might ask for or actually walking me to an item and giving me a tiny lesson in the differences between multiple products of the same type and the benefits of one vs the other in their opinion. If they didn't know about the products they would call out to the area member who specialized in that area and they would meet us...

The night manager there, younger guy, will automatically consider you a thief if you try to return something that you used, which is not their official policy. Never apologized for the tool failing or any trouble I had with it or returning it; tried to use the excuse the it was made in 2017, like that's responsibility, when in reality he just didn't want to take it back because it was scratched. It was only $49! And I asked in the return department BEFORE I bought it if I could return it if it stopped working and warned them it would be scratched up pretty bad due to the work I was doing with it. Two workers there said that's OK, it CAN be returned up to 90 days even if it's all scratched up. I made him confirm that twice. The workers I worked with in customer service were great. The manager was the problem. We have since taken our business elsewhere. So glad I didn't buy my floors and appliances there! Get some skills manager! I don't appreciate being insulted like this. You knew they were wrong. They eventually gave me a refund, while this manager hid in the back, but fought it and never apologized for anything. Even the female manager the next day said I was a liar by saying there's no way a tool could be that scratched in 1 week. I asked her if she has ever used one before? Said no. I then asked if she even knew what I was using it for? She ignored that question, so I told her. Her co-worker agreed with me, said that "could" happen in 1 day doing cement and tile work, like I was doing. Hey hotshot, I'll be going to your executives with this next. You don't insult me in front of my family! Not everyone is a liar. If it was a $3000 tool, I get it, but not for $49 bucks! I didn't care about the money. I just needed a tool to finish my floors....
Read moreUPDATE I took my own advice and measured our hoses. The hose I needed was 4.5 ft ish. They installed a 4 ft hose. So if 6 ft is the max they install with then there should have been no problems with installing my w/d in the configuration I needed. I took their word at install time that they didnât have access to the parts they needed to complete the install as desired.
You better measure your washing machine water hoses before you order a washer and dryer from Home Depot. Because if itâs any longer than 6 ft the install crew will be âforcedâ to switch your washer and dryer placement making the doors both open into the middle making laundry super annoying. The only solution Home Depot will offer you once you realize swapping the new hoses with the old ones is harder than they said because you canât unscrew the new hose, will be to send someone to switch the way the dryer (not both w/d) door opens. They will not offer to put in a longer hose. Because even though my previous washer had a longer hose, there is just no possible way for them to get you a new longer hose so that your door configuration that you purchased will work. My house was built in 2012 but apparently the laundry room designer didnât realize that 6 ft 4 in from the water valve is just not an option in the installation business anymore. Is it the end of the world? No, but my six loads of waiting laundry are going to multiply while I go find the strongest man in the world to unscrew the short hoses so I can put the old long enough ones back on and thatâs not really what I thought âweâll make sure this is installed for youâ meant. Measure the hoses, friends....
