As this season closes I just thought I would share some of my personal observations and opinions from my many visits this year. The restaurant is always clean and the parking lot is free of litter and trash. When you enter the building there are usually around 5 teens working the counter. They seem to be very helpful to their friends and fellow teens who come in but they seem short with anyone older. One example is my mother and I came in one afternoon and both of us ordered the sherbet of the day in a waffle cone with sprinkles. The teen at the counter was not friendly and did not smile, seemed like she absolutely hated her job, Two teens came in after us annd she was very friendly smiley and nice. They ordered the same thing and were given their cones before us. I’ve noticed this on more than one visit this year. The food always seems to take a really long time even for fresh food and in my opinion I believe it’s the communication between the person cooking and the counter. They seem to get ice cream ready before even giving the cooks any food orders. I used to enjoy Dairy Dock but this year I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop there compared to previous years we used to make special trips just to go to Dairy Dock.
Edit: No I did not notify the manager while we were there as the adult there was being called “mom” by some of the staff and I did not want to start any issues with some...
Read moreWe stopped by this ice cream shop on a whim, just looking for a quick snack—not expecting anything out of the ordinary. But wow, what a surprise. Right away, I was greeted by who I believe is the owner, and she was incredibly sweet. She spoke so warmly and confidently about everything on the menu, it made choosing almost impossible—there were so many great options!
She recommended the Cookie Monster (which ended up being amazing), and I ended up ordering four different treats. The total? Less than $20. With a price like that, I expected the quality to be so-so, but it was honestly the opposite. Everything was rich, flavorful, and loaded with ingredients all the way through—none of that “all the good stuff is on top” problem you sometimes get with other places.
Even though this shop is far from where I live, I’m genuinely happy it exists. It felt like stumbling upon a hidden gem. I really hope they stick around for a long time. If you’re in the area, don’t hesitate—stop in and treat yourself. I think you’ll be...
Read moreThe ice cream is very good. Like the different flavors of sherbet. Haven't ate the food. My biggest complain is the inconsistency of the sizes of the cones. Every time we go we order 4 cones, everyone is a different size and not by a little. Some cones can be 3 " bigger than the others. Some are the size of a toddler. Don't mind paying $ 2.75 if all the cones are the same size. Have been going since the Diary Dock has opened. This inconsistency in sizing started last and is worse this year. This situation makes me feel ripped off. Other soft serve places weigh their cones for consistency. Hope that you address...
