1. Atmosphere: 2/2 Stars 2. Food: 2/2 Stars 3. Wait Staff: 1/1 Star General Overview: My wife and I decided to try out UXLocale for our Anniversary on 09/28 and overall, it was a great experience. They really nailed the "Farm to table" concept with ensuring all of their ingredients are locally sourced and ingredients being homemade. The atmosphere was beautiful. It had a very nice and clean farmhouse/rustic vibe with beautiful lighting and décor. The food was delicious, and we both truly appreciated the creativity in some of their dishes. The hostess was so accommodating and did a great job at checking in on us to see how we were doing. UPDATE: We have came back here a few times since and we have left satisfied every time. Elaine, the owner, know how to run her business. I am grateful that she listens to the voice of the customer. Our experience with the wait staff has been beyond satisfactory. Every waitress we've had thus far has been kind, professional and accommodating! Kim, the hostess, is so great. She's still just as kind and friendly as the first time. Atmosphere: The restaurant had a nice entrance with a chalk board showing all the farms and markets where the local produce came from. Walking in and seeing the pizza oven was a nice touch. The bar was also very well kept, organized and clean. The bathrooms were nothing special but they were clean and, to me, a restaurant is only as clean as it's bathrooms. Food: My wife and I split all of our dishes. We ordered the Artichoke hearts as an appetizer along with the Curried Cashew and Pear Salad. For our entrées we had the Peachy Keen Prosciutto pizza along with a basic Margherita pizza. Everything tasted phenomenal. The artichokes had a nice char on them which, when topped with the whipped feta and tomato-based sauce, created a brilliant mix of flavor. The Salad was beautifully presented. The light Dijon based dressing gave a nice touch to the sweet and salty mix contained in the salad. The perfect bite encompassed all the ingredients. The finale was the pizzas. We decided to try the basic Margherita along with one of their Specials and we were truly pleased with both. The homemade dough was delicious. The Peachy Keen Prosciutto was a true surprise given that it was our first time having peaches on a pizza! The mix of cheeses, onions, peaches and prosciutto was truly magnificent. The sweet and salty flavors really blended well together. It may be interesting to see what a hint of jalapeno does to this pizza for those spicy lovers! I, being one of those spicy lovers, think it would be the trifecta of flavor! Wait Staff: UPDATE: The 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th visits were all a major success for this well ran establishment!

I wanted very much to give a higher review but some pros and cons! Pros; the atmosphere was awesome. Very home-style vibes, very cozy and comfy, the outside dining was cute (it was raining of course so we had to sit inside), and the staff was very friendly and attentive! Cons; - where we were seated (not pictured) felt very secluded in not a good way... It was behind a divider near one of their doors. It just felt kind of lonely and a weird spot. Kind of like the "back spot away from everyone else" -The food was decent, however, my husband had the NY strip & while the flavor was good it was very inconsistent in temp. Some parts were well-done, some medium, some rare. He also ordered the bone marrow & parsley salad as a side. It had much too many onions and the bone marrow he received had barely to no bone marrow in it (which he was looking forward to trying, so that was disappointing.) - I ordered the mushroom ravioli, which was okay in flavor, however, 3 bites in, I had found a hair [which was not mine] (BUT - mind you; as a woman who sheds hair from her head all day long. I get it, it happens unfortunately) I kindly let the waitress know I had found a hair in my food. She was very kind and took the meal back. She felt so badly and offered a different dinner. I kindly declined but I did want to try their dessert so I opted for that. Our waitress was extremely kind, very easy going & very caring and just over all great vibes! She comped our appetizer, took off the ravioli and comped my dessert which was very kind of her! All in all, the staff was nice, and the appetizer and dessert were delish, but our dinner left us wanting more (the few bites of mine) - I also ordered a very good mocktail! Overall, cute place. My husband and I aren't from the area (stopped by on the way back from a Rhode Island trip) so I don't know if I'd return. But a very cool place to try.

UXLocale is a small restaurant that shifted its traditional sit down business model into a cashless, pay and go operation. They stood up an efficient and aesthetically pleasing storefront and brought in containers that are not only ecological, but have tear off container closure flaps that allow for an unencumbered dining experience. The process starts by ordering on-line and providing a cell phone. You are given a time (ours was exactly one hour) and once you arrive, you wait in your car until they text you. Once notified, you walk up to a window where you are pleasantly greeted and given your individuality labeled order. I had the lollipop lamb chops (5) over mashed potatoes and my wife had sea scallops (5), over mashed potatoes with a side of grilled asparagus. Both orders were fresh, flavorful and still warm after the 20 minute ride back home. A definite re-visit and in this time of challenges we are all experiencing, I hope you will visit and help the local restaurants. Nice job UXLocale! Update on 7/31/20: Visiting regularly since my post, I have not wavered from my assessment and regards for The Locale. I would add that the cannoli is nothing short of delicious and if you are lucky enough to find the lobster salad roll on the menu, do not pass. It is always fresh and the portion is plentiful. Update on 2/21/25; During last night’s visit, I was lucky enough to find the outstandingly prepared “scallops with balsamic bacon jam”, which are; dry-shucked scallops that are pan-seared in clarified butter and served topped with tart-savory and sweet balsamic bacon jam -accompanied by magical, mashed potato made with egg white, plated through a decorating bag, then placed in the oven for an ever so light browning and delicately plated along side tender and young asparagus. The dish was magical and the owner/chef remains on the top of her game! Bravo.

Being concise is not a skill I excell at, so this review might be lengthy for some people. The TL;DR is essentially this: the atmosphere is great, the staff are amazing, and the food unbelievable. Bring your friends and family, relax, slow down a little and enjoy some truly delicious food made and served by superlative people.

The longer version: we arrived around 6:30 this evening and put our names in for a party of seven. We were told the wait would be an hour, so most of our party went outside to wait while a couple of us went to the bar to grab drinks. The bar was packed and it was hard to even step up and get an order in. One of the bartenders noticed us and waived us over. He took our order and when he heard we had an hours wait he said he'd bring some bread and oil out to us.

Not only did he track us down outside with the bread, oil, and some amazing sauce... but that first round of drinks never made it on to our final bill down the road. Chuck was amazing and took great care of us, all for a group of people that hadn't even been seated yet.

After we got seated we had to wait a bit for our server, but it was fine. We were having a good time and the place was hopping so it was understandable and we certainly weren't in a rush. When Jessica, our server, came over she took good care of us. She brought around our second round of drinks and took our food order. The food took a while to show up, but...

Absolutely, positively, undeniably worth it. Best pasta and pizza I've had in a really long time. Three people got the vitamin g carbonara, I got the garlic and herb roasted tomato carbonara, and two people got pizzas. All of it was amazing. We shared plates so everyone got a taste of everything and it was all delicious.

Dessert was good too. They brought us what was literally the last cheesecake brownie in the restaurant and the affogato I had was great.

We were at the restaurant for about two and a half hours all said and done and I'm sure some people would be upset about that, but just slow down, relax, and enjoy a good time with good people and some of the best food you'll have anywhere.

I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be coming back without a doubt. I really can't say enough good things about my experience here tonight, I've cut entire paragraphs out of this review because of how absurdly long it had gotten. Go here. Now....

I wanted to like this place SO badly but overall our experience was sub par. I want to give a very fair review so I will include all of the good and the bad.

Pros: awesome ambiance and decor -majority of the food was really good, tasted fresh, felt it deserved the farm to table label we were seated more quickly than we were told the wait would be

Cons: ordered drinks at the bar while waiting for our table. My husband received his beer immediately and I was told my cocktail would be a few minutes. After about 15 minutes I ordered a glass of wine because it never came out. Received a larger pour than usual because of the error so they knew they messed up -live music was ridiculously loud. We could not even have a conversation across the table from each other -at our table my husband and I ordered and both items were no longer available at 6:45. We weren’t told this when we sat down so we needed to start over on what to order -my husband ordered a glass of wine that he asked to get with his meal and it never came. Our water was never refilled and sat there empty for the whole meal -we waited for 50 minutes to get our entrees while we watched tables who were seated well after us receiving their food. My husband’s pizza was luke warm when it finally came out -we were never asked how our meals were and our plates weren’t cleared for ages -ordered crème brûlée for dessert. Waited forever for it to come out. Arrived at our table and the waitress said that they used a different kind of sugar and that’s why it was so dark so they wouldn’t charge us for it. It was inedible, completely burnt. So much so that as we walked out another waitress stopped us and asked if we had been charged for the dessert because it was burnt and she wanted to make sure we didn’t pay for it.

Super disappointed. I walked in thinking we found a hidden gem and would be coming and the next chance I got. Left feeling completely frustrated and disappointed. The (mostly) quality food doesn’t make up for the...
