Benzina's Bistro W/ Duke's Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Van Buren Charter Township

These people are so damn rude. I tried to ask a question about chicken substitute. The cook in the back without the teeth was hollering " no, we don't sell it like that". They were going to sell me chicken that's been sitting under the light. The chicken looked old and hard. The biscuit was burned under the bottom as well as brick hard. The wings were mixed with fresh and old. Some of those wings were hard. The potato wedges were fresh from the fryer and they were hot and good. I told my friend she should've checked that food before leaving. Never worry, it won't happen again. She can go back, but I NEVER will. I'm sick of these establishments that think they can service customers any old, rude way they want. Why am I buying chicken from a gas station? Because someone told me it was good. The food was so good. It smelled amazing. It tasted amazing. It looked amazing. It’s super fair priced and the portions are definitely worth the price you pay. We got the spicy chicken sandwich, chicken and waffle fries, and a large pepperoni pizza; all of which cost us only $28 which I feel like is a great steal of a deal! The chicken and waffle fries were packaged completely stuffed full to the brim. The chicken sandwich had a ton of bacon on it and two chicken breast/patties! The pizza is round but isn’t thin, it’s quite thick but not quite a deep dish! Everything tasted wonderfully and we were stuffed with plenty of leftover food! One note is it shows online that they’re open until 9pm but the workers were talking in there about how they close at 7:30, so I’m not sure if there’s a discrepancy there or what! The service at this location was phenomenal. I was driving back to school and decided to get some gas and a quick bite to eat. Food was outstanding. The firecracker sauce was 🔥🔥. The ranch was the best I’ve ever had with those amazing chicken tenders and steak fries. But what will really bring back here? The service. After chatting with the manager, Joey, he asked me how I like my truck and asked why I don’t have running boards on it. After explaining to him that I had just received them and they were in the trucks bed and was just trying to find someone to install them, he offered to install them for me on the spot!! For free! Talk about customer service. Benzinas today gained a true loyal customer and I will cater all my parties from here!
