Emma’s kitchen — Restaurant in Vass

I hate to rate this place as below par, but the truth being that when I went there to order, I was told they were closed for the day. A Friday at 4:30 pm. Their online site says they are open from 4-7 pm. I didn’t call ahead, but you’d expect that a new business “should” be open during posted hours. Maybe they wanted to start the weekend early? Too many small businesses in the area didn’t pay attention to detail and dried up. I predict this will happen to Emma’s as well, unfortunately. A round trip of 16 miles to come home empty and unsatisfied wasn’t on my wish list that day.

Best and most authentic Mexican I have had on this side of the U.S......you can go to the bigger restraunts if you want amerimexican food. This place reminds me of the made to order food in west Texas, southern Arizona, and South Cal. Just like those places, there will be menu items not available because they are house made or sold out....sorry 'Karen'. I had the tacos de lingua. The price felt high, but the freshness and quality made...

The pickeld cucumber salad, and black beans served as a side are awesome. Fresh cut avocado.
