El Corozo — Restaurant in Vega Alta

I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! | NO LO RECOMIENDO! | THIS IS BAD RESTAURANT!

Worst experience ever. Seems like the staff did not care about serving people food. We entered the restaurant and they all stood there staring at us (and other random customers) like they were customers and we had to go to them and ask to see a menu. Apart from that, the food is always taking more than 2 hours to come out, and it doesn't' even come out at the same time. One can come out in 2 hours and the next plate can come out an hour after. Ridiculous. Honestly, I would always give them a chance do to the fact that we are local tour guides and take the tourist or locals out on a tour and once we're heading out they see the restaurant and want to stop there. But NEVER AGAIN.

They we're rude, incompetent and disrespectful overall and right to our face. Worst part off all, they were extremely rude to the tourist. THE TURIST! ARE YOU SERIOUS? We had the tourist come up to us and tell us that they just feel overall uncomfortable and they wanted to leave. I will not have 3 staff members disrespect clients like that again.

We then told the tourist that we could leave, which we did but not before talking to the staff and telling them that what they did was completely unacceptable. While talking to one staff member 2 more came up and started discussing all agitated. I'm local tour guide that would bring a significant amount of business to that restaurant weekly without wanting anything in return. I would always take big groups of clients to this restaurant but like I said, after today that's done. You have just lost many clients due to your attitudes and I hope you appreciate the big tip our group of tourist left you even after you were rude to them.

Lastly, I would especially like to thank Rosa O., (I think that's her name) for being so rude and unprofessional, you were the greatest part of the reason why I will not be taking clients there again. Nor friend or family, no one really.

I called them two weeks in advance to make reservations for Thanksgiving. I was told by a female that I did not have to make reservations that I can just show up and that they will be open for Thanksgiving. What a dam lie! I showed up on Thanksgiving with all kids of balloons arrangements because at the same time I was going to sign to my mother, "happy birthday". Doors were all closed. Now what do I do? Excelent twist on Caribbean Cuisine

after browsing online for a while we decided we'd venture off to Vega Alta to try El Corozo for the first time. The reviews were good and we went for it. As soon as we got there and felt the very pleasing temperature we were psyched, the aromas floating from the kitchen were intoxicating!
