I went with my wife and we asked the waitress about the price of the lobsters and she replied that she didn't know what she had to ask. After waiting a few minutes and seeing her pass by my side, I decided to ask her again, and she told me that she had not verified yet. Since I did not continue to waiting i decided to order 2 small stuffed lobsters. When the food arrived, I noticed that the lobsters were not small, I understood that with only 1 we ate both, but they never explained to us that only 1 lobster was enough. At the end I had to get up and ask for the bill since they never came to the table, to my surprise the price for the 2 lobsters was $270.00 1 bottle of water and a mojito with tax 298.00. I almost had a heart attack, although I admit that my mistake was not waiting for them to tell me the price and ordering taking as a reference other nearby restaurants in wich a small lobster (1 -1/2 pound) the price is around $70.00 At the end I paid 339.66 with the tip. I have been to Europe, USA and other countries I have eaten in good places and I have never paid so much for 2 people. To make matters worse, we ate outside, and there were many flies. The lobster was not very good, and the mofongo seemed to have been made with frozen bananas. In summary, I do not recommend it to anyone. I attached the receipt, but the paper got stuck in the ath machine, and it can hardly read the details of each item. However, you can read the order, and i circle the...
Read moreFish was definitely fresh! The carne frita could use more seasoning for sure! We were a group of 5 and requested to substitute the rice and beans for tostones the panas. We were informed that there would be an up charge of $5 which was not a big deal as it was listed on the menu. However, the server informed us that the rice and beans that came with the ordered dishes would not be served. So why the upcharge? Customers are charged extra for the substitution and should definitely have a right to get the rice and beans that come with the dish and have it packed to go if they wish to do so since it’s included in the price and you are paying for the substitution. Furthermore, four orders of tostones de panas was placed and they were brought all together on one dish rather than on four individual orders for each member of the group that requested it causing us to reach over/across the table or pass the dish around. This is something that is done at your home or at a family style restaurant not at a regular restaurant where each guest should be served their own individual order and served what is listed on the menu for the dish they are charged for even when they substitute because there’s a charge for the substitution . The restaurant would still sell the substituted rice and beans that was not served with the dish that the customer paid for which is absurd! We will not be returning to Havana Beach and absolutely do not recommend...
Read moreDespite the late hour and kitchen closure, the staff, led by an incredibly welcoming waitress, embraced us with warmth and genuine cheer. While the full menu wasn't available, they graciously offered a selection of delicious appetizers. My husband's choice of Mahi-Mahi was an absolute delight.
Beyond the excellent food, the true star of the evening was the atmosphere. The waitress, radiating genuine warmth, actively encouraged us to practice our Spanish while she honed her English skills. This delightful exchange created a vibrant and welcoming environment, further complementing the breathtaking beachfront setting.
In conclusion, while unforeseen circumstances limited the menu options, the remarkable hospitality, culinary delights, and picturesque location transformed our late-night visit into an unforgettable experience. If you're seeking a restaurant that embodies warmth, delicious food, and stunning coastal views, Havana Beach Club deserves a top spot...
