After a long day at Mar Chiquita Beach, my partner and I were itching for some grub. We first stopped at a seafood place that I won't name, but left shortly afterwards as we were not getting any service. A quick google search led us to Los Insanos. We were welcomed and seated as soon we stepped foot in the establishment.

We ordered the bacalhau pastelitos to start, and for our main dish we had the shrimp mofongo w/ criollo sauce, and the dorado w/ ajillo sauce .This was the first time having Puerto Rican cuisine for both my partner and I, and Im happy to confirm that we were both more than satisfied. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. The staff was friendly and attentive. Billy was our server and he made it a mission to ensure we had a great meal and a great experience. The owner Lizzy even came out to personally check on us and share a few laughs.

We will very likely be coming back once more before our vacation ends. Highly reccomend this restaurant.

Después de un largo día en la Playa Mar Chiquita, mi pareja y yo teníamos ganas de comer algo. Primero paramos en una marisquería que no nombraré, pero nos fuimos poco después porque no nos atendían. Una rápida búsqueda en Google nos llevó a Los Insanos. Nos recibieron y nos sentaron en cuanto entramos. De entrada, pedimos pastelitos de bacalao, y de plato principal, mofongo de camarones con salsa criolla y dorado con ajillo. Esta fue la primera vez que probamos comida puertorriqueña, tanto para mi pareja como para mí, y me alegra confirmar que quedamos más que satisfechos. La comida estuvo deliciosa y el servicio, fenomenal. El personal fue amable y atento. Billy nos atendio y fue su mision asegurarse que nada nos faltaba. best food we have had in PR. Im from brazil and that’s probably the closest I have been to home. so much flavor, the beans somehow taste like my moms and the rice is so garlicky and delicious!!! there is no such a thing as “too much rice” 🥹😂 pr in general has not disappointed with the food but this place was so amazing. the people were so nice and the food took a little while but absolutely worth the wait.

we tried the tostones de camaron and they were delicious. we also had the dorado dish and the churrasco con chimichuri 10/10

Food was so good - the Mahi mahi with house garlic sauce was so tasty and fresh. The amarillos (fried plantains sweet) were cooked perfectly.

Shrimp risotto was cooked perfectly too - so tasty and great portion.

Our server was so kind and fun too ! He recommended beaches and other yummy restaurants in the area. Our service took this experience to the next level!

The mojito was made perfectly too . Service was excellent and quick despite it being Friday night. Reviewing so I can pin this place...
