Pa' Comer Sano — Restaurant in Vega Baja

Sadly Disappointed. I came to Puerto Rico with this place number one on my list. We drove over an hour to get here from where we were staying and sadly I was so disappointed. The place is beautiful, decor very nice, modern and super clean. I ordered off the vegan menu and my wife ordered from the regular menu. My wife ordered an omelet with cheese, onions and ham. The menu said it came with crispy potatoes which she did not get. The omelet, literally plain eggs with about a 1/4 cup of raw chopped up red onions, very little cheese and a thin slice of deli ham inside, also a couple pieces of an amazing toast and a little pile of baby spinach with shaved carrots. My order was what the vegan menu said, steak, waffles and eggs. So what it was supposed to be, a pumpkin waffle, with vegan sausage and tofu scrabble and crispy potatoes. What I actually got was tofu scrabble with pepper, onions and vegan cheese. The same amazing toast my wife had and the same little pile of baby spinach and shaved carrots, also no crispy potatoes. The unfortunate thing is that I repeated my order to the server multiple time so that I would get the food from the vegan menu. Can't say it was language issue due to the fact that I am Puerto Rican and speak Spanish fluently. The server was extremely nice snd wanted to correct my order but at that point my wife had already started to cut into her food and i did not want to wait another twenty minutes for the food. The food was really good but we waited over an hour before they finally brought out the 1st plate. They served us our meals one at a time, approximately 20 minutes in between each plate. So one person would eat, the others watched, that person finished and the next plate arrives. They eat, while we watch, they finish and the next plate arrives. We went out together to a restaurant with the intention of eating together. The waitress was very apologetic but that's it, no offer for even a complimentary cup of coffee or anything while we each waited for the next plate to come out. By the time the last plate came out, she didn't feel like eating anymore, so we just paid the bill and took her meal to go. She ate in the car. Acogedor ambiente, excelente servicio, buena comida y mucha limpieza.

Este lugar, a pasos del pueblo y frente a la carretera número 2 en Vega Baja, resulta, además de su muy buena ubicación, uno acogedor donde la buena música y ambientación, acompañada de un muy buen y atento servicio y por supuesto una muy buena oferta gastronómica, resulta en una agradable parada si se encuentran por el área y si desean pasar un buen y relajado rato conversando y degustando el menú. Nos agradó mucho que hubiera opciones de preparaciones de la comida, por ejemplo las papas nos las prepararon salteadas en lugar de fritas, demás esta decir que estaban deliciosas!!. Por otro lado, la sopa de zanahoria y coco...sabor salado/dulce de otro mundo...la recomiendo!!!. La presentación y los platos fue muy acertada e iban con la ambientación. Encontramos además mucha limpieza en lugar, con baños amplios e igualmente limpios. Tuvimos una doble dosis de postres dado las interesantes ofertas disponibles!!. El nombre le va muy bien a este lugar, ya que ofrece una variedad de platos para los que como nosotros, nos gusta el comer bueno y sano.
