After living in the area for so long, we decided to finally come check this place out on a whim.
Driving back from Mohican on a 90 degree day, tired, thirsty, hungry, and also really wanting some ice cream, we decided to stop in.
You can clearly see the open sign was on, and there were plenty of cars in the parking lot. I double checked with myself to make sure it was probably okay to come on in, even though I was unsure of the hours. Didn't see any hours on the door as we walked in either.
The open sign being lit up was good enough for me.
We all walk in, looking forward to finally trying this place out, a place we have driven past so many times and made so many excuses for not stopping here, we walk in ready to get our grub on.
I approached with a smile on my face, quickly scanning the menu, and walked up to the cashier who asked me, "hi are you ordering?" and the first words out of my mouth were "Yes! This is our first time here..." And before I could finish my sentence another young girl comes over behind the counter & interrupts me to say "We actually are closed now"
I understand. I truly do. I have worked in the service industry for years now, I know how it goes.
As I walk out with my family and upset children, I see everyone else in the dining room smiling and eating their meals. No way they were closed already? How? There were so many people here? Clearly eating and conversing...
I would understand if this establishment had zero cars in the parking lot. If the dining room was dead. I would totally understand, as I am knowledgeable when it comes to pre-closing tasks/being done early/wanting to rush home/ect
You're honestly telling me they had already shut everything off and couldn't cook another order?
I looked at my phone and it was 8:00pm exactly. Indicating we clearly walked in before 8:00pm!
I personally have never turned a last minute customer away, and never will... I hope to return some day, just because I'm a foodie and I like trying new places. But this place is not even close to being on the top of my re-visit list.
Took my money + tip...
Read moreWe stumbled across this hidden gem after one of our grandsons baseball games. We ordered a variety of things from burgers to wings and even placed a second order, even though everyone was stuffed. Just to try the pizza because it looked so good, it didn't disappoint. This is a place where you order before you seat yourself, that being said the service was great they were quick to remove any dishes you were finished with and always checking to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything. The food was amazing. Everything was served fresh and hot and full of flavor. If you are ever in the area, make sure to go here. You won't regret it. You will definitely have a great experience at this local hangout, I can't...
Read moreWe stumbled across this place heading home from a college golf tournament and let me tell you it did not disappoint. My wife and I both had the smash burger and side of fresh cut fries. Everything was hot and tasted great, including an ice cream cone to go. Only disappointment I would have would be the beer I received was non alcoholic. I just had the girl working the front counter read me the styles, so either they all were non alcoholic or maybe just the style I requested. Other than that little mishap, everything was great. Highly...
