My family has been to Village Point and the Pizza Parlor several times and have always had a great experience. We were recently in grabbing some lunch at Village point market on a busy soccer tournament and school shopping / orientation etc. weekend. I had my two kiddos with me and of course we couldn't leave without candy ! My kids picked out candy , I was ordering sandwiches. My 5 year old spilled most of her container on the floor before I was even able to pay for it. At this point the mother in me was getting a bit irritated , I sent my kids to the counter to pay for what was left of the candy container. When my daughters got up to the counter the cashier asked if they had already ate some of the candy. My oldest told him no, and what had happened. He told them to go ahead and eat the rest of the candy and that he would take care of the rest , and gave my daughter back the money she was going to pay with. The kindness and generosity your employees have everyday is irreplaceable. They gave me a calm feeling that day as they cleaned up the candy , talked with the kiddos and I, with nothing less with a smile of their face. They changed my feeling that day as a irritated parent to confirming that accidents happen. Truly a family oriented environment and fantastic asset to the community. Thank...
Read moreThe store and decor we're adorable! Cute gifts and unique foods and candy. I loved the concept of a market/eatery. The luncheon area is where we struggled. No one to greet. No one to assist or explain how their counter worked. We were not the only 2 people dazed and confused with the deer in headlights look. The only interaction we did have was without smiles or a welcoming feel good connection. All business. For a small town...i hope this changes so the local folks and 1st time guests like us feel welcome and they want to return weekly. The sub I had was warm BBQ that tasted delicious with Cole slaw but the sub roll was refrigerator stone cold on top and super wet and mushy on the bottom. Did you thaw frozen bread in a bag at room temperature and that's why it was like that? Maybe toasting it would have been better. My sister loved her Italian cold cut. This was my first visit and I always go back to visit places a second time so I'll definitely go back and bring guests. I just hope that my experience was merely because they are new and working out the kinks. We wish you...
Read moreThis market is a real gem. The deli is amazing. The sandwiches are easily customized so you always get the exact sandwich you want, baked to perfection and melt in your mouth delicious. You can get food to go, eat at picnic tables outside or in cute little booths. There's great coffee and ice cream and so many gift ideas. This is my go to spot for my olive oil. There are bulk foods, all kinds of drinks, candy, a new wine section, and this is only the inside! All summer and fall there are plants, fresh fruits and veggies to choose from. The prices are very reasonable, the people are friendly, and everywhere you turn you notice the loving touch of people who really care about their store...
