Alamos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Vernon

Decided to give this place a chance. Came in on a Saturday evening around 7pm. One person in front of us. They were seated fairly quick. Waitress didn't say a word to us when she seen us come in. Didn't say anything when seating the person in front and then disappeared. We waited for about 10 minutes with no interactions at all. Had tables available. Looked like they just didn't have hardly anyone working. Seen the waitress again but never would come back to where people entered. We put them on a timer after 10-12 minutes and 3-4 minutes later we walked out since no one ever acknowledged us in any way. Truly horrible service. It wasn't so busy that someone was unable to attend to us. It was just bad service. Walked out. won't be back. No reason to as Las Chalupas in North Vernon is a fantastic option. Here's a note; If you are not the best in town, make sure you at least make sure you know how to sit people when they are waiting. Teach your workers better or you won't last anyway. Lost money that night and since we won't be back, no money...

First of all i will start this post off, with good things about the restaurant, the restaurant was very nice, it was clean it has amazing art work and pictures displayed in the front of as you walk in, the building is very big and has lots of sitting. Staff was friendly! Secondly, the most important part when it comes to the point of being at a restaurant is the food! We'll I usually always order the same thing no matter where I go to be honest its either a taco salad, something else or a chi·mi·chan·ga, I got the chi·mi·chan·ga this time here and I did not like it is was very not tasty it was soggy and the Tortilla wasnt very good i didnt like it and my chips was...

Food was okay...we picky people when it comes to Mexican so don't go by our standards. The cheese was okay...just no kick to it (but we all know gringos can't handle spice lol just kidding). My biggest thing was NO WHERE that I saw was it posted that if I didn't pay in cash and used my card I would be charged 4% for it. Hidden costs are a BIG pet peeve with me.
