I hardly ever give a bad review. However, this situation is still bothering me so here goes. The customer service here is HORRIBLE. And the manager Tyler made my call-in complaint seem more like a call in for a coupon for a complimentary smoothie. I immediately mentioned to him, this is NOT that, your employee was rude. My son and I walked into this store and not once were we acknowledged. After the young lady at the register took the couple's order in front of us, she just walked away and began helping the other employee prepare orders. I was confused at this point but nevertheless we stood there waiting for her to return. Then the phone rang while we were standing at the counter, this same young lady stop helping prepare orders came and answered the phone standing right in front of us, never to acknowledge us and after the call, she went back to helping prepare orders. There was no, I'll be right with you, thanks for coming to Smoothie King. At this point I told my son we were leaving. I went to the car and called the number outside the door and asked for a manager, which Tyler answered stating he was the manager. I mentioned to him he must have been in back because there were only 2 visible employees in the store. I explained to him what had just happened and IMMEDIATELY he jumped to defend the rudeness of his employees stating, after 3 orders it's mandatory that employees help prepare orders, when the phone rings it's mandatory an employee answers the phone....it wasn't until I Repeated myself and stated WE WERE NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED. This is about CUSTOMER SERVICE. Being in this establishment on yesterday was like comparing Walmart to Publix or McDonald's to Chick Fil A...there is NONE. I will choose Quality over Quantity Anyday of the week. I would rather spend more money somewhere that knows how to treat their customers. To offer me a coupon after the back & forth was an insult. Read moreI’ve been a loyal Smoothie King customer since 2016, and I’ve always loved the products. Unfortunately, my recent visit to the location at 3056 Healthy Way, Suite 144, Vestavia, AL 35243 left me shocked and extremely disappointed.
An employee treated me very rudely and was needlessly combative when I tried to place my order. Despite my attempts to stay calm and de-escalate the situation, she continued raising her voice and provoking me. I even told her that her behavior was unprofessional and not reflective of good customer service. Instead of resolving the issue, she refused service and had me trespassed from the store — all without justification.
I was treated unfairly and believe I was racially profiled. This was hurtful, especially considering how long I’ve supported this brand. What’s worse is that the store’s management seemed to support this mistreatment without a proper investigation.
I hope Smoothie King’s corporate team takes this seriously. No paying customer deserves to be humiliated, dismissed, or treated with such disrespect. I’m sharing this publicly because accountability matters — and so does treating people with dignity.

This location was not my first option because I never have a good experience here, but to have purchased an acai bowl the day before there's no way I can not leave a bad review. 1. What happened to Hello, Welcome to Smoothie King. I let that slide because maybe they're not morning people which means they shouldn't work morning shift. 2. The acai bowl I received was half filled, Literally can see over 40% of the bowl without the top bowl cover, there's no way Smoothie King is charging $12 for a bowl to only be filled 60%. The bad haired manager states the bowl is weighed. Either the previous bowls I've had were done wrong or this store is just lazy. 3. Horrible customer service, one thing you shouldn't do is patronize a paying customer especially with inflation being an issue. This is one of the sole reasons I would rather make my own product than spend money were I'm not appreciated or get my monies worth.
