Mo's Steakhouse — Restaurant in Vevay

Just finished up. I gave two stars only because the steak was pretty dang delicious. Everything else was terrible. Gnats or fruit flies or whatever little bug it was were everywhere. My husband's BLT had burnt bacon and tomato butts (for lack of a better term) on it. Also was told it would be lightly toasted, that was not the case. Sent back for a new one and the toast wasn't burnt, but the bacon was, again and again, more tomato butts. Bad food is the cooks fault, but the terrible waitress made things even worse. She was so slow, and the place wasn't even that busy. Took forever to get beers, hell even silverware after she had already brought out my salad. She messed up our check and I had to literally write out our entire order on the back to get it fixed properly. My daughter had a track meet so we decided to stop and eat here before heading home. We went in and love this place. The setting is amazing. However, my daughter sat in her chair and a screw fell out. We placed our orders and literally waited an hour before food even started coming and we were still waiting. When we finally got our food my husband was already aggravated that it took as long as it did. When I looked down at my plate I saw a roach on my sandwich. We immediately flagged the waitress down and showed her. She grabbed the plate and said, “I’ll take that off.” I told her no one is eating at this table. My wife and I drive by this place all the time, we gotta admit it was an astounding experience, kinda pricey but you pay for what you get, the portion sizes were outstanding the waitresses Tara was on spot with everything. My wife and I had the prime rib steak and now at other steak houses I end up sending my steak back several times because they just can’t get it right, the cook here though spot on absolutely perfect the best steak I have had north of Tennessee I can’t brag enough of how wonderful this place is.
