McDonald's — Restaurant in Victoria

I swore off of McDonalds nearly 30 years ago after getting food poisoning in North Bend during a youth ski trip...Im 43 now. I stopped to get fuel & planned to go to Raising Canes. But, my truck wont start..so here I am. McDonalds wasnt the only choice, but after nearly 30 years I guess I can forgive. 🤣

I will say...the fries are definitely not as good as I remember...the shape/size hasnt changed, but they are a little darker than I remember & they taste like the oil used is different than in 1996 when EVERYONE was OBSESSED with McDonalds fries. I have craved these fries from time to time, but what I had today was DEFINITELY NOT it. They were good, but just not the insanely great fries that I consistently could rely on 30 years ago. I ordered the combo that I ate religiously at least 2 or 3 times per week in 7th grade a double quarter pounder with cheese no onions. I wanted to try the Big Mac again, but I wanted to do a comparison to the food I was modt familiar with. The burger smelled EXACTLY like I remember. It was fresh, the pickles tasted the same the bread was softer but the real surprise was the meat...it was in my opinion superior than what I recall. It was still the same consistency, but it tasted more "beefy" not in a bad way...on the contrary it was better than I recall. All around I think McDonalds will make it back into my regular rotation. The prices have doubled...The double quarter pounder used to be #6 & the two cheese burgers are gone, theh used to be #2 on the menu. I temember the meal was just under $5 after tax...now it was over $11 after tax. They have revamped from the old loud colors & have gone with a more modern pallet that says "we arent clowning around anymore" Ronald McDonald has matured is seems. I did see they have kept the hamburgler & Grimace as well as other characters (still dont know any of their names). The McDonalds atmosphere/restaurant reminds me more of a starbucks if they did fast food. Even though so much has changed, the core remains the same & thats whats really cool to see. They have stayed true to the food minus the food poisoning this time...

This Mc.Donalds is the worst one in Victoria. There is a lady with highlights in her hair. She wears a ponytail and looks like a manager. She is rude and yells at you like she Is speaking to a child. They say their soda machines are down even though there isn't an out of order sign on it. Their ice cream machine never works and you can't even get a frappe becaus their coffee machine is always down. When I try to call to ask questions about their menu, they never answer their business phone. I've eaten here on different occasions. Their chicken sandwiches are as hard as a rock, they serve cold cookies, they are always out of ketchup. When you tell them that the machine is out of ketchup, they just hand you packets instead of filling it up again. They always run out of ketchup cups and refuse to put anymore. I always have to use a small lid to put my ketchup in. In result, it usually drips on the floor or on my clothes. Always wear something old if you come to eat here. When told about the lids, they will hand you a lid but will not refill the lid dispenser. What about the other people? This place doesn't even deserve a one star rating from me. The people that work here have horrible attitudes and always mix up the orders. Managers need to take people skills classes because instead of feeling like a customer, you feel like a criminal. It is awful. I don't know what is becoming of places like this but I wish it would get better. Owners need to clean house and find better attitudes. I hope someday I can return to a better...

Worst MCD I have ever been to and u am 50. My experience Walked in at roughly 730 pm - maybe 5 customers inside - I walk up to counter wait 5 min for someone to take order - man standing beside me volunteers he had to wait also - looking around maybe 8 workers between drive through and kitchen - more workers than customers I order crispy chicken meal but can't get a shake no details just can't make me one - ok - I then go to bathroom - nastiest bathroom I have seen - no tissue - tissue dispenser apart and lying on floor - tissue all over floor - I pass on using - go back out enough ice for half a cup - no little paper cups for ketchup - lid dispenser half with no lids got lucky my size had one -decide against tea since it's made and bathroom and restaurant are not clean - get food go to car - open bag - buns so dark almost call it burnt and same with the chicken - lettuce wilted and tomatoes dark and soft. Best part of meal were fries. The young lady working counter nice and efficient - but soon as I ordered after the wait she was cleaning tables and such - with 8 people working - maybe 5 customers inside - IMO she should stay close to register get one of the other people to clean especially since overall appearance was dirty people don't want to see that especially before ordering food. Lots of room for improvement from food...
