McDonald's — Restaurant in Village of Cottage Grove

The convenience of this place is astounding to me. I am not going to lie. I do have a love-hate relationship with this particular establishment. As far as the drive-through goes. I hope they can get some service done on the speakers. There have been some days where I have pulled up through the drive-through and ordered a steak bagel. And received a sausage bagel. Something minor like that I’m not gonna go into details and cut down the establishment for. It’s a simple mistake and sometimes I do blame the technology instead of the actual person.

There is a lady who’s there and usually works the drive-through every morning She is a very wonderful person and every time I have encountered her it’s a wonderful experience. I have yet to see her with the frown on her face. She seems to be a model employee. I hope the company is very gracious when it comes to making sure she’s as comfortable as possible.

To expand on the convenience of this place. You literally can come in order from the counter or you can order from a personal kiosk in the middle of the store. Regardless, I can honestly say that I have been there well over 90 times now this year. I have not waited over 15 minutes for my order no matter if the house is full, or if it’s just me.

The food quality in my opinion is great, pertaining to mcDonald’s standards and they have not failed yet, even the sausage bagel that I mentioned earlier was still great. Wasn’t my choice. I might order it in the future now.

All and all If you are looking for an experience with McDonald’s and happened to search this one up and is in question if this is a good one to go to or not I can tell you no matter if it’s morning noon or night. They...

Austin a manager who has literally grown up there is spectacular. He has been there at least 8 years and is incredibly helpful kind and honest. A few months ago they brought in new GM that let his kids run back and firth to his office past the grills and interfering with workers. His wife said she was manager but never wore McDonalds uniform and 1/2 the time the kids were sitting booth. They lost an incredible manager who had been there for 12 years and she and Austin kept the place running great and service always quick when she quit the new managers let the place disgusting with food and grease on the floor and a dripping ice cream machine on floor. I asked him about it and said all he had was untrained teenagers and wharf could he do. I told him lock the doors for 2 days and train them. I came back a week later and it was worse. Kids slipping on grease on floor of driveup window, it counted 18 fries on the floor and trash on floors. I left called health department and OSHA. All of these things were during day shift. When I went at night Austin and kevin another spectacular manager had everything cleaned up. Well 2 days after I called the new managers were pulled out of there on a Saturday over Labor day weekend. It is now immaculate again. I witnessed Austin closing one night and then saw him when they opened. He literally stayed all night after working a full shift to clean the place up. S L O W service! 4 young people working without any type of supervision. I was with my sister and she ordered and then I did. By the time my food was ready - she was done eating. A couple next to me had their food but were waiting for their drink and ice cream. You could see drink was ready but they couldn't find a lid. Couple was finally handed their drink and the wife asked for their cone. The boy taking orders apologized but instead of making the cone continued to take orders. The girl in charge of french fries made the cone but handed it out the drive thru window. By this time the woman went to her car. The same girl in charge of the french fries got a pie for someone but before putting it in the back she smelled it?? Not sure if she wanted to make sure it was apple?? Meantime I am still waiting for my order and I looked at the monitor above me - so the young boy taking orders asked if I was still waiting for my food - YES. He apologized and someone came to bring me my hamb/fries and ice tea. There were 2 monitors and I assume one might have been for the drive thru and the other counter orders?
