Not a great place, we went Monday evening for dinner with my parents, and it was just an awful experience. The entire restaurant was pretty much empty, the patio had probably 2 families out there. We had waited a out 10 minutes for a waitress to come to our table for the drink order. Once she finally got over there, Jennifer took our drink order, another 10 minutes passes by and we have our drinks. My dad ordered the pretzels as an appetizer, those took 5 minutes which wasn't too bad. She took our dinner order, where we then proceeded to wait 45 minutes with no food showing up, my boyfriend then went to ask when the food was arriving, since no came to our table and told us about the wait. Jennifer then told him, "when your food is in the window, that's when I know it'll be ready." She came to the table 10 minutes after that and told us the food was just being put on the grill and it will be finished super soon. So we waited another 15-20 minutes, my mother then got up to go ask where everything was, and Jennifer then decided to start arguing with my mother, telling her she wasn't going to take the food off the bill, as she was trying to get our check so we could just leave and go somewhere else. My boyfriend then went up to the counter and asked for the food to be taken off, and she replied with; "Haven't you guys had to wait for food before, you guys are just going to have to leave hungry, I'm not changing your bill, someone else will have to do it." After about five minutes of letting Jennifer argue with customers, the manager decided to step in and fix our bill. Myself being in a food service industry and my boyfriend as well in the past, know a little communication goes a long way. There was literally none whatsoever. If you're in the mood to fight and beg for your food go check this place out, but if you're not then just keep driving and save...

The kids decided to take mom and I to Mr. Brew's Taphouse in Darboy (visited August 2023). It's only about a mile from our home. It's a newer pub/restaurant in the area and we were interested to try it out. First impressions...a very nice place with more than adequate indoor and outdoor seating. The waitstaff (Max waited on us) was friendly and personable. The menu has a nice variety of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, house specialties and pizza, not to mention the vast assortment of beers.

We ordered an appetizer as we were waiting for more family to join us. We ordered food after they came. While waiting for our food, we noticed that there were a couple of tables near us that had been seated after we had arrived and already had their food. We mentioned it to Max, who let us know that our food should be coming shortly.

We ended up waiting over an hour from the time we ordered our food. Being it was my birthday, I was not in much of a hurry, but again, seeing the other tables served first made me want to say something here.

The meals came and were plated nicely. Everyone commented on how good their meal was. I had the fish tacos with their homestyle chips...very tasty! Others had burgers, a burger bowl and my wife had the wings. Our granddaughter had Mac 'n Cheese...her all-time favorite!

Perhaps our order may have been misplaced, or...a bad night in the kitchen. It can happen. We let Max know about our long wait. I think he knew also that we were not pleased with the wait. But, we told him that this place is worth another try as the food and waitstaff service were great!

I did do a little research with the reviews and others noted similar issues. I'm not going to call this one visit a bust yet. We'll be back Max! Hopefully without...

Ive grown to love this place and continue to return. The beer selection is unmatched with offerings for everyone; I’m a sweet brew drinker and I currently prefer Drop top Sundrop. I recommend scanning the QR code on the menu for a greater explanation of offerings but there is also a paper menu I’ve used upon request. I especially appreciate how accommodating the staff has been when I ask for beer samples so I make sure I’m ordering what I will enjoy when I’m venturing out of the norm.

I visited the old location on the river which was cool but the new location is especially nice, there’s ample seating inside and out, a fresh new interior and it’s a laid back atmosphere. Major plus- the patio is dog friendly for those nice days to sit outside.

I’ve been served by multiple different people throughout different visits and have always received great service. I’ve also met the manager on various visits and she’s always been personable and down to earth.

As a vegetarian who dines with non vegetarians, it’s so nice to enjoy a burger as much as everyone else and be able to order any speciality burger with a black bean patty. They also offer the impossible burger (plant based option) but the black bean is where it’s at for me. The people I’ve dined with have also appreciated the different options, my family especially loves the fish tacos (my uncle even drives down from door county just for the fish tacos and chips!)

I highly recommend the pretzels with beer cheese, California burger (with a black bean patty or any of the other protein choices), and/or a burger bowl (which is a huge portion!)

Thank you Mr. Brews team for always making me feel welcome! I look forward to...

-All burgers are fantastic, As always. I’d suggest the peanut butter burger or the jalapeño popper. I’ve also enjoyed the Mac and cheese burger in the past. The addition of wings 👍👍 Wings Current Rank of Flavors: 1) Nashville Hot 2) Sweet Chili 3) Parmesan Garlic 4) Honey Garlic 5) Smoked Black Pepper BBQ (Haven’t had the rest) -The tossed tenders are a great option. -Burger bowl options are also fantastic. -Beer/ Seltzer/ Hard Cider selection is amazing. Get a beer flight if you can’t make up your mind. The kids meals are huge and a great price. Could definitely feed two kids with one meal. Also for being open in a new location for about a month, the operation and service are doing well. Staff is very friendly. Owner is very friendly. New location is fantastic. The one and only complaint, more normal high chairs for kids. They have plenty of the high top one, but only one normal height. More than one baby, it somewhat limits your seating a bit. But then again it’s a bar and I shouldn’t cry that there isn’t enough high chairs. I guess my 1.5 complaint is if you get ten wings, allow for two different wing sauces at five wings in each. Wanting to sample the sauces is a burden when I had to get two orders of 6 wings instead of 5 and 5. Some waitstaff allow it and others don’t.

Stopped by this location tonight in the evening. I expected to have some decent bar food. I wasn't expecting food better than many of the other typical sit down restaurants in the Appleton area. My husband had the fish tacos, some tap beers and a salad. He misunderstood and ordered a regular house salad instead of a side salad. The waitress attempted to clarify but he got the regular salad with grilled chicken. I ordered the bruschetta flatbread. All were very good. So often these days dinner salads are not appealing looking when they come out. His was very fresh and definitely could be a meal in itself. There are several other selections we want to try and plan to visit in the near future! Waitress and staff friendly. Sitting on the porch was nice.

Not a bad place; food and service were good. It is nice to have some place different to go to on that side of town. I'm not sure about the retention pond in the back, but it is better than looking at the road. The only thing that I have to give a dig on is the 3% non cash fee. This is the cost of running a business in today's world, not the consumer's problem. I would rather see the surcharge buried in the cost of the food vs. used as an upcharge. They put a massive QR code on the top of your receipt to use scan to pay, literally half the size of the receipt. They really want the customer to make it easier for the servers and the business to manage the money side of things but then charge the customer for doing so. It makes no sense.
