Saw this place had a high star rating and figured we’d give it a try. We like to try diners! Typical old school diner. Has a big menu open 6-3. Has a senior menu. We went at about 11:30 on a Saturday and there were very few people in there. That should have been are first clue. Server was friendly and food came out quick. That’s why I’m giving 2 stars. The restaurant is not clean and the tables felt gross. Not sure if there was something on them or the protective coating is coming off, either way it’s gross. We started with French Onion soup. It cost $1.99 extra to add croutons and baked cheese to it. The soup was not good. The cheese was some sort of melted white cheese topped with Parmesan out of a can, also not good. We had a kids meal that was $8.99 for fries and 3 chicken tenders a little pricey but tasted ok. Husband had the French Dip. He said it was very plain, no flavor but the au jus was ok and fries were good. I had the country fried steak dinner. The country fried steak was your typical piece of frozen breaded country fried steak, it was fine. The country gravy was horrible, no flavor at all! The mashed potatoes were cold so I did not eat them. We did not complain. We paid our $52 bill, left a tip and went on our merry way. We will not be back. They are a cash only establishment it is posted on the door. Iced Tea was $3.99 which is ridiculous, but it tasted fresh brewed and was good. They have their own parking lot and it looks like they have a place for outdoor seating when the weather is nice, being April it obviously wasn’t open yet.

Met there with some folks on a Sunday afternoon. The portions are huge. The food came out relatively fast. Lots of seating inside and outside. The waitress was very friendly and personable. Everyone enjoyed their food but the person who has the baked chicken. Said it has very little flavor. The gyros were very good. So was the BLT. The eggs Benedict were very good. The friend potatoes with the grilled onions were great. The onions were caramelized and very good! It’s been years since we’ve been here. We will be back.

We saw another person's review that said "Oh. My. LORD. This is my new favorite spot for breakfast. Had an amazing Bloody" and we decided to try it. This is exactly what we had to say as well. GREAT service, GREAT food. This is a nice family owned place and the owners/ staff are so awesome and very sweet people. Their entire menu (which is huge) looks great. We will be back often! If you are ever near Plover, give them a try!!

The waitress we got was very rude. She was not happy that my father and I wanted to split their enormous 7 egg omelette.. I'm guessing she just wanted a bigger tip. She made us pay $1 for a empty plate to be given to me in order to share the omelette.. Okay, a $1 isn't gonna hurt anyone.. but it's just extremely unheard of and honestly just plain rude overall.. I can't imagine that a restaurant is low on plates, and it certainly doesn't cost them any extra money to wash the plate.. So the whole idea of charging for a empty plate is just bad customer service. I ended up ordering a side of hashbrowns for myself anyway, which of course came on a plate of their own for me.. But what do you know.. We still got charged the $1 for the spare plate that of course I didn't even end up receiving because I ordered hashbrowns. We would have been better off just not saying that we wanted to split the omelette in the first place. The waitress never once came to ask how the food was or offered to refill any drinks. The expensive 7 egg omelette was mediocre at best, not enough cheese to egg ratio.. Something they should get right if they're gonna force a 7 egg omelette on someone. The hashbrowns were decent though. The best part of this experience was the homemade buttermint at the register and the look on the waitresse's face when I paid with my debit card and handed her back the signed receipt and didn't leave her a tip.. Something I have never done before in my life, but she was so rude and completely ignored us after the food came so she honestly didn't...

Normally I would give 5 star but tonight was Bad as I was eating my food sharing with my man a plate of hasbrowns they were so yummy but were snatched off table when two bites were left I wanted I looked back up n they were gone no one asked if we were done and I would have finished . Also the noise level was horrible And waitress was impationate I thought as we weren't ready to order had to tell her to come back twice. We did get a bag a chips as this was a game night here loud so loud we couldn't hear each other talk . Then in the beginning I was asked what I wanted to drink but waitress couldn't give me a drink menu and didn't know they had except Pepsi products not ok in my book ! I wanted a shake but they don't make them . When I was asked if everything was ok it was right after the first few bites not at the end I think I was a long night as They usually have excellent service The food was enough but I really am not big into large cottage cheese Or the butt ends and eggs sticking to the edges of my French toast Very unhappy camper tonight . we didn't take any left overs home but a full stomach so that's good I guess I'm just used to paying less if I'm not going to take...
