Kelly Club Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Village of Weston

We have been here before and I would have rated it 3-4 out of 5. But this last visit really turned us off on the food service. It was during a big championship Big 10 game with Wisconsin and Ohio State. So they should have known there would be a big crowd. Well, a new bartender was not the answer. She was not friendly and didn't know the menu at all. At one point, when we asked her what our choices of sides/potatoes were, she snipped "what does the menu say?" I looked back at her and politely stated that she needed learn the menu as it does not list sides/choice of potatoes. The poor cook, yes, a single cook, had to make the meals and deliver it herself. The food was good, but it took forever and we were one of the first groups to put our order in. I understand there is new management, but I hope this isn't the new normal...

First off we were Greeted by Bryce as soon as we walked in the door and he was So Pleasant and accommodating! We had Delicious Fish and Shrimp for my Father in Laws 86th Birthday on Friday the 13th! I had the Haddock Dinner and got 2 Huge pieces perfectly cooked and brought half home…My Husband had the perch and he said it was fantastic and he got 3 Huge Pieces and brought a Whole piece Home…My FIL had the Cod and Shrimp Combo and he also said it was Amazing and he Ate it ALL…The Shrimp were Colossal! Bryce made our Old Fashions PERFECT to our requests! Bryce was our Waiter and he was Spot On…Friendly, Witty, Attentive and Just a Pleasure! We just had a fish fry at Hutch's Kelly Club, and it was excellent. One of the best fish fry's I have ever had in the Wausau area, and their prices are at the low end of the fish fry scale. I am not sure if there has ever been a time that I could not finish a perch dinner, but I could not tonight. There was that much food. It was all hot and delicious, and the serving sizes were really big. I commented to our server, who I should add did an excellent job, that for the meal I had, at that low of a price, their place should be packed. I have been there in the past few months for drinks and appetizers during happy hour, and again the food was great, and the prices were very good. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
