Went here for a girls day out. Restaurant is set in a quaint old downtown building with great decor. Even the bathroom was cute!! Our server was polite and checked on us regularly without interrupting us too often.
Prices are upper mid-range. Daughter and I each had a full sandwich, cup of soup, dessert, and water to drink. Our bill was around $35 plus tip.
I had the corn/crab chowder and crab salad croissant for lunch, and lime cheesecake for dessert. The chowder was hot, thick, and tasty. Not bland like some chowder. The crab salad was good. I wouldn't call it great, but good. Lime cheesecake with raspberry drizzle was also good. It was a refreshing end to the meal.
We shared bites of our desserts, so I had a taste of the coconut cheesecake. Yummy!
Two of the others had the potato and dumpling soup. They said the flavor was okay. The potato soup was served warm, but not hot. We had asked if the potatoes had their peel (due to a food allergy) and were told no, but when it was served the potatoes did have peeling on them.
One of our party had the extreme BLT. Big sandwich! Plenty of bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and cheddar cheese stacked high.
The best thing though was the red velvet... I'm not normally a red velvet fanatic, but oh my goodness it was delicious! Chocolate cookie crust with red velvet cake and chocolate mousse layered on...
Read moreIt was so good to finally have a break from fast food and have some real, honest, fresh and tasty food made in a truly family run restaurant. All the servers were lovely too, very helpful and welcoming. They had nearly closed the restaurant when we arrived but they still happily accommodated us and fed us a full and fantastic lunch. Then we met Becky, the owner, who was so amazingly helpful and friendly, as we were on a road trip, she gave us the most fantastic recommendations on where to go next (and all of them that we tried were spot on!), and while we were very full from lunch, we thought after all that, we’d better try some cake (and a cookie). And glad we were that we did! We had the peanut butter torte and it was one of those “I can’t possibly fit in another mouthful... alright one more.” I’m so glad we decided to stop here, a truly memorable experience, I’m just sad we can’t become regulars. Thank you all at Pea Fections for a...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to stop in for a quick bite here after hearing so many good things about Pea-Fections from the community. The restaurant itself is charming and cozy inside. We lucked out and came in during their limited lunch service. Our server was incredibly sweet and attentive without hovering or being overbearing. Entrees were light but satisfying and very well priced, and I cannot say enough about how quickly they came to our table. We also had dessert and HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do, too. All in all, we spent $30 for two entrees and two desserts, waited less than 10 minutes total for entrees and dessert to be brought table side, and enjoyed a quiet and quick meal together. I would definitely recommend Pea-Fections for a simple and intimate easy meal, and will definitely be...
