First time visiting tonight & will never be back again … it was expensive compared to what we spend at other places we regularly visit. We waited for over 20 minutes for four items. The staff had a line wrapped around the building & were more worried about counting tips in the tip bucket than serving the next guest to get the line out of the street. All of the ice cream was melted by the time we got it but the staff close the window immediately after serving someone and are impossible to get their attention again afterward if you have an issue. All of the food was supposed to be prepared for eating immediately not to go, however everything was wrapped up melty in a brown paper bag. The ice cream cone was thrown in a deep cup… how is anyone supposed to get that and eat it easily? lol my jaw literally dropped when I saw it because I could not believe this was thought to be an acceptable way to give something to a customer. Very disappointed as this place was just highly recommended by a family member.

One of the ladies was very rude when I asked for a new order because the first one wasn’t to my liking. I only took one bite out of it and went back in line to ask for a small cup of custard with sprinkles. Which costs less than what I originally ordered. I would have been okay if they didn’t have an attitude, I usually don’t return food because I understand the food industry is stressful and don’t want to make things more difficult for the staff. I even watched them throw away the cup of custard that the girl who was taking my order was already making for me. My experience here today was very unpleasant, I’ll have to find a new favorite ice cream shop. (I ordered a brownie treat sundae which I love and a glacier with mango water ice and vanilla custard which I didn't enjoy)

For many years I have been a customer of this place i buy annd order what my children want to eat, I never ask for the price, I only pay what they say. This time my 15 year old son decided to invite us an ice cream for his brothers, for me and for his mother with his own money, that was nice off him but he had a very bad experience with the manager. He was very rude verbally and not only that, but he even wrote it on the receipt just because my son decided to ask the prices since he had ordered and paid, he would never return to this place. Never 👎

I have been coming to this ice cream store for a few years now and I must say service today June 1, 2024 at 6:50 - 7:05pm was horrible. I decided to order online so that I wouldn’t have to wait in line for long. I came to pick up my ice cream and pretzel and guess what I had to wait in line. I ended up waiting in line a total of 15 mins (really??????) when the text on my phone said that my order was ready a few minutes after I got in line. I told the young lady (she had on pink shirt and glasses) that I was here to pick up my order. She asked me was I here for door dash. I told her no, I ordered online on Del. Icrecream website. She told me that they don’t do that so she doesn’t know how I ordered. She asked me to show her the website in which I did. I told her well someone has my money (I had to pay online to confirm the order). She said that she will call her boss. Mind you all of this time I am still waiting in line. She finally comes back and she said she will check and see where my order may be. She came back with my order in a paper bag. She said that it was in the freezer. I ordered a pretzel and ice cream and they had my pretzel in the freezer 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️. My ice cream looked incorrect so she took it back and then she came back and said the ice cream is the right order. At that point, I stated that I want my money back. She told me they don’t give money back that I have to get my money back from where I ordered from. I just said ok thank you and I walked away. They are crazy. I ordered the icecream from their website and they have my $15.10 and my order. I want my money back Del’s icecream. Del’s I am real surprised how you do business and how you treat a long time customer.

UPDATE I changed my review from 1 to 5 because of Brianna, the owner’s daughter. She reached out to me on 6/4/24 and I must say that Brianna exemplified great customer service. She was very apologetic about my experience. She also took time to explain to me the process when ordering online. She said this when ordering online it’s actually through DoorDash and when picking up the order, you have to use the side door (you don’t have to wait in the main line out front). Brianna also told me to contact DoorDash to get my refund. She also offered me a comp if I order ice cream while she is working. I contacted DoorDash from the telephone number that Brianna gave me. The woman processed my refund and she said it would take 5 to 7 business days. It was in my account the next day 6/5/24. Thank you so much Brianna and tell your dad thanks as well. God bless you and...

We have been visiting Del's for well over 14 years. We lived approximately 5 minutes away however we moved last year. Still residing in Vineland but significantly further. Though we live further we still take the ride out there because we have always taken our kids there and it is our summer custard stand. However, that changed tonight. As we are standing in line the young girl in front of us ordered a pistachio ice cream. My husband quickly stated how good it looked and he might want to try that flavor. It is our turn to order and my husband inquires about the pistachio ice cream. He told the young lady that he would like to know how it taste before he orders hence can he have a taste before the purchase. He did not ask for a scoop, a cup, a cone he asked for dab on a spoon and the young lady said "I cannot let you try it you have to buy it because it is homemade" My husband then stated well how about if I do not like it she then cracked a smile. I do not blame her.She is a young oblivious teenage girl just doing her job. The audacity of the owner because that comes directly from the owner. Do not forget that it is the local customers that help stimulate your economic growth.Local businesses benefit from local consumers who choose to pump their money into their communities to promote local economic growth. I don't really care to hear that inflation has caused prices to skyrocket and if we give him a taste then we have to give all others that ask. Yes we all know that. We are all living in that reality of inflation but really? You treat a customer that has been visiting your establishment for years like that? Do not take your customers for granted. I have seen and known businesses that have gone out of business after many years. You are not invincible. In today's tough economy you want loyal customers to support you. What is worth more the dab of ice cream or a customer that has been faithfully supporting your business for years? We spent $25.00 on three ice creams and we do not mind the cost we get it, we understand that is what you pay when you go to a custard stand and you cannot spare a DAB of ice cream before I spend $7.00 to $10.00 on a cone? I will be leaving this same review across other forums. To all those that are reading this review choose to visit other custard stands in Vineland. Verona Custard, Outlaw's Creamery, 5 Points Custard and Rita's. I am...

Long wait for no reason I was the only person in line about 4 minutes pass and 2 older ladies get in line a few more minutes pass and 3 more people get in line. Still a few more minutes pass and finally a fork opens the window and proceeds to take the older women's order. I politely said excuse me I was here first. One of the ladies apologized because she thought I was waiting for my order . So she let me go and place my order a small vanilla soft serve with graham cracker topping. As the girl is taking my payment another girl opens the second window and takes the 2 ladies order. One of the ladies gets her twist cone and I'm still waiting for my order. The other lady gets her twist cone and is walking away from the counter when the girl finally brings my order to the window. I call to speak with the owner Mark which was useless he became very arrogant accusing me of yelling and as much as I tried to explain I wasn't yell but in the Bluetooth in the car which may sound loud I really wasn't yelling. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a very softspoken person having to repeat myself a lot because I am soft spoken. Mark needs to work in better customer service. If there were 4 people working in there there's NO reason for an extended wait for your customers that are in line. But Mark told me I need to be more patient. Go figure 👎 I will take my business elsewhere as my time not me as a person is not valued at Del's Custard...
