I hosted my mom's 50+ person surprise retirement party here in September and it was absolutely perfect - at half the price of other local venus! I've been here before for family meals, and we've always had a great experience. Now, I can also recommend this place for events. I organized everything from out of state and Ryan and Nancy made it easy and reassuring. They were incredibly responsive and accommodating leading up to the event. They gave me a price quote months before (that matched the final bill) so there were no surprises. They worked with me to satisfy all of my requests, allowed me to store supplies in the days leading up to the event, admitted us early to set up the day-of, and even called me after the event to make sure I was satisfied. The events manager, Jenn (I think), and a team of servers ensured everything ran smoothly. They checked in with me often, fulfilling any last minute requests and adjusting as needed. They even let us go over time a little bit due to a late start, which I really appreciated. A tropical storm came through so a bunch of guests couldn't make it and the staff made sure I was able to take home their meals since I had already paid for them, which was a really thoughtful touch. My mom had a great time and I felt really supported by the staff. I couldn't have dreamed of a better experience. Oh, and the food was delicious! They make the best chicken pasta alfredo I've ever had and I'll be ordering that every time I'm in town.

Pros: had Meatloaf w/ mashed potatoes and green beans. Very big portions, the cream of broccoli was very good. Had beer cheese with pretzels, good cheese pretzels were soft. Relatively clean and have kid crayons with activity sheet. Son had chicken tenders with fries and wife had pasta Alfredo. The chicken looked tasty and crispy. My wife mentioned the Alfredo tasted good. Side suggestion, try the beer cheese with the soup, tastes awesome. The service was good and on top of coffee and drink refills. Cons: they have odd days off/closed for being a diner in NJ . They don't need that many spots left for only pick up. The meatloaf was big , but resembled slices of large scrapple. Dry on outside , soft on the inside. If it wasn't for the gravy it wouldn't have been as good. I usually order meatloaf not just because I like it. But if a diner can make a great meatloaf they can make a great anything from my experience. The prices were so so. I spent over $50 just for me and my wife and my son. We did get an appetizer though. If you want breakfast, they don't seem to offer at night from what I saw. Big minus for me. All and all, pretty average diner for dinner who has a great breakfast buffet in the morning. I would go here If I needed change and was tired of my usual spots to go. I'm Beef and that's where I was.

First time at Larry’s II Restaurant. Ordered the chicken pot pie that was on special. Came with a decent sized salad which was nice. The pot pie consisted mainly of shredded chicken, carrots and potatoes with a top crust. It contained more of a broth than the typically thicker sauce found in a pot pie. It was good (and probably a little healthier). My husband ordered the “Pick Two” with a half of turkey sandwich accompanied by the mandarin salad. Dressing was a little heavy and sandwich could have used a little more mayo, but he said overall it was a good meal. Everything tastes fresh. On the way out he ordered a cappuccino from the coffee bar. That was good as well. The service was pleasant and efficient. I was tempted to grab one of the bakery items as they looked good, however, I was too full. May stop back for a latte and sweet confection another day. They do have seating in the coffee bar area which is nice. Good experience overall.

Most recent visit here was really disappointing. Let me just say to start, I have been coming here since I was 16. That equals about 30 years. Stopped on the way to a Dr Appointment with 40 minutes available for a breakfast for my daughter, who had been sick for almost a week. I ordered a breakfast of the two eggs, toast and homefries for 5.49. I asked for the eggs scrambled and add cheese which is noted as a .99 cent charge above the menu item. My girl got a side of homefries, because weak stomach. She did mention wanting a pancake, so I tried to order just one. The server told me no, I have to order a short stack. I said I don’t want a short stack, I just want one. She said I can’t do that. So I repeated this ridiculousness back to her. I said so you would rather not sell any pancakes than charge me for one?? What kind of customer satisfaction is this? I did purchase an entire meal, so why can I not purchase a single pancake? She did put the blame for this on the owners, that is their policy. She drops off the food and never returns. As we have to go because time matters, I look for said server and she is socializing in the side station with the staff and floor manager. I ask for my check and she gives it to me, and has overcharged me for my breakfast. I show her that she has not rung in the right item. I asked for two eggs scrambled with add cheese, and you rang in a 7.49 item for cheesy eggs. She said, yeah, that’s what I’m supposed to do. I replied that is not what I asked for though. She gets manager on duty who also tries to tell me that that was correct. I then asked to see a menu, and it is not correct. Scrambled eggs 5.49. Add cheese .99. I then asked to see where even is cheesy eggs on the menu...and it’s not even on the menu. So at this point she does adjust my check because now there is no defense and I attempt to pay her right there but, no...she had to find server for me to pay. Server then takes the better part of 6 minutes to try to get change for a twenty. And just can’t. I was then late for my appointment out of town and seriously questioning ever going back to this place, ever. I’d like to end this review with this. I have been in the restaurant business for also the past 30 years & if you want people to return, try hospitality, try to have some value. Try to have a quality product and experience that brings people back. Chestnut diner will allow me to purchase one pancake, and I don’t care if they charge me 3 dollars for it. Especially if I don’t want to drive around New Jersey with a leftover pancake in my...

My wife and I have been going to Larry‘s ll for many years and I’ve always had a good meal. But today I was very disappointed. We went in for lunch and to show my wife’s aunt the restaurant we enjoyed coming to for many’s years. We were seated and the server asked us what we liked to drink. I showed the server a text I received from the restaurant saying you get Get your FREE Lavender Dragon fruit or Mystic berry Refresher at Larry's II, TODAY plus Every Wednesday in July with any $5 purchase. The server said yes I will get you the free drink. We then ordered our food my wife I ordered sandwiches and my wife aunt ordered a salad from the salad bar. My sandwich and the salad bar came with soup. But the potato and the chicken rice soup were extremely salty. Then the waitress came back after finishing our meals and said that they could not honor the free drink because it was not Wednesday even the text said today. This drink was just about four dollars and was not much more than sugar water. I was very disappointed this was a very misleading ad. There staff read the text and said the drink was free then when it’s time to pay say it’s not free. Buyer beware. So I got to thinking about it. I did not think this was fair so I request to see the manager. She explained it to me that’s in the system. That way I cannot change it, but I can’t tell the owner to come over. He was not very nice and said that he was not honoring the free drink today. And then a comment was said I can’t pay for the drink. In other words he was saying I was cheap. This was in front of our guests my wife’s Aunt. So I must say that I am very disappointed in Larry‘s ll restaurant and the owner you should be ashamed of himself to lose business for many years to come over an advertised free drink that he would not honor. My wife and I will not be back to this...

I am giving Larry’s ll a 2 star review because this is the fourth time we have had bacon grease in our potatoes with our breakfast. The two stars are for Valerie and Nino, both of whom are great to us.

We have been coming to Larry’s for over a year now, since we have moved into the area. We have never had an issue until lately. About 6 months ago we noticed bacon pieces in our potatoes, we told the waitress that we are vegetarian and we didn’t ask for bacon and they gave us a new order of potatoes. The manager came over and explained that the grill is small and WE need to specify that we are vegetarian and they will clear the grill for us. Great! So WE made sure to specify the next time we were there. Again……. We got bacon pieces in our potatoes. The manager did nothing. 3rd time…… no bacon pieces but still tasted of bacon. We then find out that the “chef” makes the potatoes with bacon grease. That is NOT ON THE MENU. and once again the same manager does nothing about it. This time will be the last time we ever come to Larry’s Today the 4th time, with the same manager doing nothing about making sure (because WE do) that the potatoes are bacon and grease free….. she took off 69 cents for onions and peppers that we request to add to our order. That is just an insult and her being a horrible manager. I have other words to use but I cannot post them without it being taken down. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE with a self preserving attitude. This woman does not deserve to represent the establishment she works for. Oh…. One last thing we did not complain about the order of COLD eggs on top of the avocado toast because it was...
