Vining Grill — Restaurant in Vining

I LOVE this small town cafe & grill! I had their hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. Absolutely delicious! Lots of great beef, gravy and potatoes. My dad had their sloppy joe special which had two nice sloppy joes and fries. My mom enjoyed their creamy potato soup and my fiancé had their BLT. Their cheese curds are the best!!!! But what was truly delicious was their strawberry rhubarb pie…by far the best I’ve ever had! Wonderful waitress and a great cook made the experience very delightful. I sure wish Los Angeles had restaurants like the Vining Cafe! I miss small rural town cooking! Thank you for a great meal and reminding me why I love coming home to...

Ordered a mushroom burger with French fries...took half home for dogs as there was no discernable mushrooms in it and the beef patty had no flavor. The beer I ordered was as a glass of Budweiser was delivered in an empty glass and a can of Bud. Can't you advise customers as to what is available on tap?..As to ambiance, well, the chef told me the only thing he could get on the house system was some country music that didn't agree with my stomach. Even sitting down to a dissagring hamburger it's better to eat, when you're the only customers to provide an ambience...

The Chef Salad was great. My husband had the Prime Rib sandwich. He said "it is the best"! Also if anyone wants/likes rhubarb custard pie, that is my favorite, soooooo good. Best around! Vicki did a great job serving us. One other time, my husband and I had the "all you can eat spaghetti/salad/garlic toast, their special on Wednesday evenings. It was great.
