Andy's Carry Out — Restaurant in Virginia

I recently visited Andy’s Carryout and ordered the pork wonton soup. As someone with a shellfish allergy, I specifically chose this dish because it does not contain shellfish. Unfortunately, shortly after consuming the soup, I experienced an allergic reaction. This strongly suggests there is some form of cross-contamination happening in the kitchen.

It’s extremely concerning that proper precautions do not seem to be taken to prevent cross-contamination, especially for customers with food allergies. If you have any allergies, particularly to shellfish, I would advise extreme caution when dining here. This incident has left me wary of ordering from Andy’s Carryout again.

I was really impressed with the dishes. The soups had plenty of meat, very tasty broth, and mushrooms. For like $5 its not only one of best in the area but also very cheap. The lunch special was also very cheap and had plenty of meat. Its much better than most other chinese places where the food basically consists of onions/veggies and no actual meat. I ate here for the very first time on Memorial Day. I ordered Chicken Lo Mein I loved the sauce it had a nice garlicky kick that I love. And overall really good flavor. The chicken did have that questionable consistency but I was still able to enjoy my food. I ordered 2 egg rollss next time I will ask for vegetable rolls as for the ones I had had pork in them which weren't terrible but had a strong swiney taste that I don't like. Also, It would've been nice if the lady reminded me to grab my drink out of the fridge so I ended up home without it. I decided I'll be back so I will get it next visit lol.
