Baked à la carte — Restaurant in Virginia

I was really really hoping to love these cupcakes and was super excited to see the end result… unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I asked for 3D fondant tiktok cupcakes. But instead I received something completely different from the pictures I sent Ava. We spoke over the phone. I told her exactly what I wanted and again, referred to the picture sent. She charged me $127. I checked with other bakers just to reassure my self that I wasn’t over reacting, they have all said they definitely would not have charged a client $127 for the cupcakes I received. I reached out to Ava very nicely. All I got from her were lame excuses. She kept telling me to refer to the invoice. But I have screen shots of what I wanted, pictures to show her how I wanted them.. and even a text saying what I wanted. For future clients !!!MAKE SURE THAT AFTER TALKING TO HER ON THE PHONE, HAVE HER WRITE WORD BY WORD WHAT YOUR EXPECTATIONS ARE!!! I’m sorry but a refund of half the amount would’ve been nice because again, these are not worth what I paid for. I am attaching the pictures i sent for reference which I found on Pinterest… I didn’t even get the little “TikTok” sign/banner and the symbols DONT EVEN LOOK LIKE TIKTOK symbols!!! We chose Ava to bake a wedding cake, a birthday cake, macarons, and madeleines for us. We have parties with celiac disease, so gluten free was very important. From start to finish, we had a wonderful experience with Ava! She helped us try flavors, think through cake structure and delivery, and helped us to design the desserts so that they were special and unique. Not to mention, the baked goods themselves were phenomenal! Everyone was raving about the treats and said the wedding cake was the best they had ever tasted. I was recommended Ava by my Aunt who has had cakes made for her special events as well and I was definitely not disappointed! I'm getting ready to turn 30 and I wanted a cake to represent a milestone birthday for a fun photoshoot I was getting ready for.
