Learn moreIf you're looking for a delicious, hot meal with attentive service then go very far from here. On a girls trip and had 3 of us for dinner. One of us ordered a tap beer and 2 ordered sodas. The beer took almost 5 minutes for the beer to arrive. Then we ordered the brie as an appetizer and it was small and cold and tasted slightly rancid. Moved on to split 2 flat breads between the 3 of us. One came out warm but was char black on the bottom, the other came out cold. They were very bland for what we ordered (One pepperoni the other was the base camp flatbread). We would have mentioned this to our server (Will E) however he managed to completely ignore us after our flatbreads were delivered. He had a table of 10 sat two tables away from us and continued to glance at our table but not once stop by. After about 20 minutes and watching the older host (Joe) run around bussing tables, we had to flag down a different server just to get the check. The other server returned with our check and took our credit card to run. We still had not had a chance to even speak to our server. Finally after about another 15-20 minutes, our server came back around and admitted that he had missed a few tables, had no idea what was going on, was very confused, and had accidentally run our card for another table. He ran away from our table before we could speak. I had to track down another server to grab a manager. As the manager was being pointed in our direction, I could SEE him roll his eyes. As he came to our table we finally got the correct receipt for our bill (which was around $50 for the aforementioned). The manager had no issues explaining what happened with the check and how it would appear on the statement as they "see this all the time" (yet another red flag about this place). He then tried to leave the table immediately after and I had to stop him to let him know about the atrocious service we received. Being a former server myself, I understand what it's like when it's busy or when a server is overwhelmed. The place was not busy as we were surrounded by at least 6 empty tables, and no other server seemed to be having any issues. The manager (Jesse) seemed to not even care and could offer only a meager "I'm sorry you had a rough night with us". I wasn't looking for compensation of any kind but some sort of positive attitude or even a lackluster "I'll speak with him" would have been better than what we got.
As it was a Friday night they had a live band playing. While the music wasn't great, and was a tad loud for our taste, the overall atmosphere of the place wasn't bad but not in our personal preference.
Overall, this place seems to lack good food, good service, and managers that actually care about what is going on in their restaurant. I wouldn't recommend this...
Read moreStaying at the resort with my parents - chose to eat here for lunch. Was seated by one, and then waited on by another. Then the wait begins once we finally ordered. (at least 20 minutes after being seated). Over an hour for bar food. No apology, no concern or situational awareness from wait staff or management. The few wait staff that were present did not seem to be aware that they were 75% seated, and no one had food. None of the servers showed they were intending to be prompt and fast. Casual walking around, hanging at the bar, while many people waited for food. Our server told us they were "short handed", but more help arrived, so we should be served soon. (I guess this was supposed to be OK and make everything better). Another 20 minutes went by. Our server told us he would check on our food. Did not see him go to the kitchen, unless they have an instant message system, he went back over to the bar POS and keyed in some more orders or printed bills. (it certainly didn't seem like they had trouble getting bills on tables quickly). Finally, well over an hour, yet another server brought our food to us. Not all of it was even correct, but at this point, with two kids under 10, we just wanted to eat. No offering of refills. We weren't even given enough place settings. As I mentioned before, the bill certainly had no problem getting to the table quickly. As I expected based on everything else, no discounts or comps because we, and many other tables, were clearly annoyed at the poor service. After confronting the server about some sort of good measure for our poor experience, he said that " I explained we were short and slow, and the manager should have come by our table to inform that to us as well".... No manager ever came by, and in an establishment at a resort of this nature was this slow, any manager having to visit tables to tell the guests of the issues should be offering a comp, coupon or percentage off the bill, and most of all, an apology. I watched our server go an ask the manager to take something off the bill, and he clearly shook his head "no".. I mean come on, we were 10 feet away. Server came back finally with a 25% discount and explained to us that one manager wouldn't honor it, but he found another one who did.. (not sure why he felt the need to explain further the clear lack of hospitality from the first manager) Someone needs to really take a look at the servers and managers there. At the very least, our food was great, (even though some of it was wrong), fresh and hot. Doubt we'll be back to this venue as being family of resort owners and will be returning to...
Read moreHonestly, I can kind of agree with a lot of the reviews on here. First time here and very upset with the service. It was just me and my wife.
We got there at about 8:55pm
Walked into the bar, there were 4 employees working on getting some silverware in napkins. Stood there for at least 5 minutes until I asked the bartender if we could just sit. After sitting, we had time to look at their whole menu(on my phone), look at campfire grills menu, and still waiting another 10 minutes, before someone came to check on us.(I didn't get a name but she was super nice) She said she just had to close someone out and she'd be right back. Before she came back, someone else came to wait on us. This second waitress was not all there. She was slurring her words, being very slow, and acting confused.
She got our drinks after about 15 minutes. My beer was bassicaly flat. Luckily my wife's drink was good.
After about another 10 minutes we asked another waitress(since the one who took our drinks never came to check on us) if we could get a side of fries. This was surprisingly fast. Took about 5 minutes to get to our table.
At about 9:45pm we wanted to order some burgers. After I placed the order, we were informed that there was no beyond burgers left. We went ahead and didn't get anything to eat other than the fries we got originally.
Like another review said, we almost walked out without paying. I had to ask another server for the check. I went to the bathroom and came back and they still didn't take my check with card. They took my card, lost it on the 5 feet they traveled to get to the POS system, and then came back and asked if I gave them a card.
Over all, for a resort this big, this is very upsetting service. Food would've probably been really good, if we got some. Drinks were nice, other than time to get to us and by beer being flat because of it. Service was overall terrible. One good waitress and it wasn't our main one. Live music was a vibe...
