Chicken Coop — Restaurant in Virginia

This happened a couple of months ago. I went in to get 2 corn muffins. The girl had a rude look and tone to her voice. She asked if I wanted the muffins heated up and I said no, that I would heat them up at home. Mind you, the muffins were in the case with other hot foods. I get home and they are hard as a rock, I heat the muffins up in my microwave for a couple of seconds thinking that they would soften up-they did not!!!!😱 They were so hard that I called and returned them and got my money back. Any fool knows that you can't leave muffins, biscuits etc. in heat all day!!! Come on people🤯!!!! The girl was rude when I showed up to get my money back, ugly attitudes in the back and the people in the front of the store are nice. I will never order anything from there again. My friend went there after my experience and the chicken wasn't done all the way through and greasy as hell. My friend was treated rudely as well. I've also witnessed them being rude to another customer as I frequent the convenience store to play my lottery numbers, but not to buy hot food. How can you employ great people for the front of the store and people with no professionalism and kindness in the back of the store??!!With...

Stopped at the Exxon station on the way up 29 North because it had a big open lot next to it where I could walk my dog. Being a fan of hole in the wall and one of a kind restaurants, I was intrigued when I saw the sign for the Chicken Coop. I decided to order 4 wings and to my astonishment, they were out of this world. I was amazing how well they were fried, how flavorful the batter was and most of all how plump and juicy the chicken was. The only mistake I made was getting them to go and having to eat them as I drove.

I came back through Lovingston 3 days later, heading down 29 South and the only thing I could think of was getting more chicken. This time I got an 8 piece and decided to dine in.

The chicken is some of the best I have experienced, without a doubt. The fact its in a gas station makes it even better. Friendly people, great prices and HUGE wings with the wing and drum...

They are so SLOW they are fast if you want something in the hot case and it's already made. If you order a sandwich, salad, or anything besides chicken it literally takes 30 minutes or more for them to make it. The two older women that were working during one of my stops there, were so rude and slow that I had to stop myself from leaving, even though I had already paid for my food. It shouldn't take ANYONE half an hour to make a salad and a wrap. You could practically cook an entire chicken in the time it took them to prepare a chicken wrap. If I ever get food there again, it will only the chicken and if I want the worst diarrhea imaginable. The only reason they didn't get 1 star is because there are two wonderful staff members that are so friendly that they make me want to be their friends.
