DAP'S Ice Cream, Burgers, & More — Restaurant in Virginia

Don’t get me wrong the food and ice cream is great. But the staff…. is literally the worse. First incident me and mom went, while we were sitting in the dining area the staff members can out and started sweeping and mopping and even had the audacity to make my mom move her feet so she could sweep under her chair to get over and done with ( mind you it wasn’t even 6pm and they were trying to rush me and my mom out) they then proceeded to discuss in great detail about pictures one of them had received from a group of guys… posing inappropriately. It was bad enough me and my mom walked out before finishing our meal. Me and my family went tonight, it was a different groups of staff this time but no better experience. A random person walked in and went straight to the back (someone who did not even work there) and the staff made her a cup of ice cream and a meal and the girl stood in the back by the grill and ate while the other customers food was being made. The random girl didn’t even pay for any of the food she got. Then one staff member got irritated with my 6 year old and 2 year old because they didn’t decide on an ice cream flavor in 5 seconds, mumbles something rolled her eyes and walked off. About 5 minutes later my 2 year old decided he wanted a waffle cone. My husband walked up to the counter stood there what seemed like forever because all the staff was in the back laughing and having a good old time. Finally one of the staff members poked her head out, looked at another staff member and said “ look that guys back again” with an awful attitude and rolling of her eyes again. The other staff member said “are you effing kidding me?” I am in no way knocking Daps it had always been the go to place for my whole family but we will not be eating there anymore unless better staff is brought in. Because that was just crazy, these 2 incidents were less than 3...

Absolutely the best charbroiled double cheese burger I've ever eaten. Not kidding! Have you tried burgers at DAP? Why not? I'm not kidding, you gotta try this place. Oh, and the ice cream! Don't get me started!! Go ahead and try them, prove me wrong. I give them 10 stars and the server 20 stars. Stop here, do not let this place close!!

Okay, it's October and we drove out to get a couple of double cheeseburgers and guess what? Once again they were The Best Cheeseburgers we've ever had! Get off the interstate and head to DAPS and get some food! Go ahead, prove me wrong! Check them out today. Will be heading there again soon so watch out for me, thanks again for a fantastic cheeseburger, you made my day!!! December 2022 Hey, I thought I said get in here and grab a charbroiled burger and fries!!!! It's time, right now, you can even get it to go, but if you eat in, then you can get some Wonderful Hershey's Ice cream for dessert! Right now it's Tuesday and Thursday specials. They carry Hershey’s Ice Cream, with 40 flavors of real creamy hand dipped freshness! Whether on a cone, or in a cup they’ll fix it up for you!

Reminds me of the old Happy Days tv show! A place where high school kids would go to meet their friends for burgers, fries, and milkshakes! The owner Phil Witry opened this niche spot in 2015 , and he’s still telling stories and giving out travel tips to visitors. Matter of fact he told of us several places to visit around Waynesboro & Staunton! Thanks ! 😃👍🏼
