11/18/2022 UPDATE Denny's!! Bravo! 👏 Yall must have gotten the memo! The young man who was our waiter this morning for breakfast was a breath of fresh air. He was kind. He was polite. He paid attention. Not only did he check on us frequently to make sure we were good to go but he was quick to bring our meal out as soon as it was ready. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal as well as the service this morning. Hats off to your cook on duty as well! Our food was hot, tasted great and hit the spot on a cold fall morning like today! ❤️

(Original post from a year ago) We frequent this location and generally have good experiences but lately the waitresses have been kinda absent. While we are forgiving of the shortage in staff at a lot of establishments, that is not the case. Most recently we were 1 of 3 tables in the entire restaurant with 2 waitresses handling the room. It was a task to ask for things such as mayonnaise or butter and when we ordered an apple crisp dessert that was advertised fresh with vanilla ice cream we were told 20 minutes after we requested it that it would be right out but they were out of vanilla ice cream to put on top of it and they could substitute chocolate instead. We decline and said not to worry about the apple crisp if they didn't have vanilla ice cream for it and the waitress was quick to throw an attitude at us for no longer wanting the apple crisp without the vanilla ice cream (as it was advertised...how dare we). I'm a truck driver and constantly stop at this Denny's since it is inside the Pilot truck stop. Waited a few months to do a review simce I have seen they are understaffed (sorry but seems they been this way for several months and enough is enough) There is AAAAAALWAYS some type of drama with these ladies. There is an older lady who has terrible attitude and over heard a young manager point blank tell her she was being rude and of course the older lady had all kinds of sassyness (again, some type of internal ongoing drama). My waitres was extremely nice, courteous and attentive. No issue there, she along is the reason I am giving an extra star. Ordered Bourbon Chicken Skillet with no BBQ sauce and asked for veggies with a bit extra butter. Chicken breasts could tell was frozen then cooked for it was horribly dry. Skillet was barely warm rather than sizzling hot (was able to grab handle with my hand) bottom Veggies were over cooked, some pieces of squash burnt,, almost turned into dried skins and had almost no trace of butter (remember I asked for Extra butter). The steak and ham were properly warn and cooked. Overall, place was empty and on a Saturday night, (says a lot about a dining place) but atleast looked clean. Have tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt with trying to see if it was better the third time. Try again..this place is in need of to many things. Majority of the Servers are dreadful and have been here all different times of the day/night. Daytime as usual are better but depends on if its lunch time already since they seem to not care about guests, but getting off for the day. The dinner staff are despicable and need to all be replaced. Besides the fact they all ignore people when they arrive, then they are worse as servers. 10 min to order drinks and never get a refill, food takes forever and is never either correct, hot, or checked by the servers once it finally arrived. But it may be somewhat tolerable if they would ever clean the place. Its disgusting! Tables are always filthy even after "cleaned" food all over the floor, dirty silverware every single time which I even had a server say "yeah it's all that way. I don't even use it if I eat at work"...Wow! The combination of everything to then top it off the cursing by the employees, loudly and not even appearing to hide or whisper. Such a shame...this location is ideal for the hundreds of people just employeed within 1/4 mile let alone the traveler could be a very lucrative location. This however is just proof of just how much Dennys values their customers...
