Dillons Hot Dogs — Restaurant in Virginia

Drove in from Charlotte to visit family in the area. Had been craving a hotdog the entire day so I checked to see what Google had to say. Based on ratings and other factors I decided to try this place. I must say , the hot dogs are good , but the hamburger was the thing that caught me. I have been in the restaurant industry for awhile , and I'm a burger guy. Upon house recommendation of the big burger , which is a blended grind of beef , with multiple cheeses , grilled onions and more , I tried it. OMG! that thing sat on the table for a couple hours before I ate it (still safe to eat) , and it was still fantastic! Had an 11 year old with , did you think he mite not see the dessert display? I sometimes come to this area to hit golf balls over at Brookside. Never heard of this place...ever. I have asked many people in Roanoke where to get good hot dogs, and nobody has ever mentioned Jones. People at the Brookside golf course also never mentioned this place... I was walking over to the Food Lion to buy something and saw them here. The hot dogs were pretty good! Nothing I would rave about but they were tasty and something I felt like deserved a little praise. The service leaves much to be desired. The little man here is very disrespectful and doesn't like it when you ask questions or try to make conversation. He told me im trying to cook, don't talk. Very unfriendly and disrespectful. When I tell you I’m so mad at myself for coming to Roanoke every weekend for the last 4 months and haven’t eaten here until now because everything we had was absolutely satisfying to the point I don’t want nothing else to eat tonight! I knew this place had to be good because when we walked in I noticed all the cake & pie dishes were empty due to being sold out which is something I never seen at a restaurant before. We got there at 4:30 but you can tell the staff of 2 had a very busy day by the long strands of receipts hanging from the register, but they were still welcoming, accommodating and jovial which made our dine in experience even more pleasant and enjoyable.
