Don't believe the reviews about them having the best cheesesteaks and subs in the area. For approx. $10 you get an eight inch sub (tiny sub roll) with hardly any meat and cheese on it (80% bread and 20% meat). They don't even give you an option of the type of cheese you want on your cheesesteak. The sub roll was quite small in itself, basically flat and served in a bag when I asked them to serve it "for here" because I was going to eat in at their counter and watch the news (bad listening skills). Nothing like a real cheesesteak or NY deli type sandwiches are served here. Skimpy portions and flat subs are the name of the game here. For comparison you can get a fountain soda, one slice of pizza and half a sub of your choice for $10 + tax at Tony's New York pizza in Fair Oaks and Oakton. We won't be coming back here with the unwelcoming, dismissive and rude cashier/asst. manager who needs to work on his listening, customer service and...
Read moreI've lost count of the number of times I've eaten here over the past year and a half. This place is a beacon in an area with limited food options. The woman who works the front register is a gem (I'm embarrased not to know her name already). She keeps that place moving smoothly and is always in an upbeat mood. As one of many, many contractors who depend on a decent hot or cold lunch there, I can say that the food and value for $ is top notch. Small ding for no bathroom though. As a place that owes its success to the many contractors who work in homes around the area we don't always have access to much more than a port-a-john. It would be nice to know that we could wash our hands under warm water before eating. Even just an accessible sink would be an acknowledgement...
