Duccini's Pizza — Restaurant in Virginia

Ordered from Duccini's, via Grubhub, a Medium 8" Chicken Cheesesteak with added lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Plus Regular Fries and Mozzarella Sticks. The order went out at around 4:56 PM and the driver delivered the order at around 5:21 PM. No bad, no bad at all. Well within the 45 minutes I think of as a reasonable time to deliver my food. Driver was polite and the food was still hot. Now, the Chicken Cheesesteak was good but did look kind of on the thin side. On the other hand they really gave me a ton of Fries and the Mozzarella Sticks had something added to their batter. A herb or spice - they were really tasty. They also gave me WAY more ketchup packets than any one person could need in one meal. In the end I was stuffed, so the food hit the spot, but I would say their Chicken Cheesesteak didn't impress me and if I do order from them again I will likely try something else from their menu. Update - Ordered Pasta with Mushrooms (Meat Lasagna) and a side of Western Fries with Cheese via Grubhub. Got to me within a very reasonable time. In fact the Pasta was super-hot still. The Pasta came with Bread. And the portions were huge. If I had known the Pasta was going to be that large AND came with Bread I think I would have held off on the Fries. In fact I had the fries the next day. Update - 4/29/2021 - Ordered via Grubhub again. Asked for a Eggplant Parmesan Sub with the Cheese replaced by Vegan Cheese and also asked for Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, and Hot Peppers to be added. Eggplant can be very bland and you really need to add to it. Also ordered Potato Chips, Western Fries with Cheese, and Carrot Cake. The ETA was about an hour but the food arrived well within 45 minutes. The food was well protected and the Carrot Cake was in a different bag to keep it away from the hot food. The Sub was nothing but Eggplant and Cheese. Nothing else. Total failure. Had to toss half of it away because it was so bland. The Chips were okay. The Western Fries had cooled by the time I got to them but with lots of ketchup they were eatable. The Carrot Cake was smaller than the container suggested it would be but it was also okay. At least it wasn’t frozen. I have to bring them...

For the most part the food quantity and quality is as good or better than most similar restaurants. It is open very late for this area 4 or 5AM. And it has a decent sized dining area that is clean for eating in.

I like their cheese steak. Made with melted white American cheese, you can request provolone. I just get it with onions and red pepper relish (hot peppers).

The meatball sub was good with plenty of gooey melted mozzarella and a tangy tomato sauce.

The pizza is good. They use cornmeal on the bottom of the crust that gives it a little more flavor and chew. Their sauce is on the tangier side, which I prefer. They have good specials after 11PM.

A small Greek salad is large enough for two and is basically their regular salad with big cubes of feta cheese. I recommend you get the house vinaigrette, which is a light lemony dressing made fresh in house. It paired well with tomato based dishes like pizza, spaghetti, or meatball sub.

The Buffalo wings were as good if not better than the Wingstop nearby. A much better value than Wingstop. There are less flavors. The wings are not battered or dredged. They are fried up so the skin gets like crackling, which I like. Wingstop is a bit inconsistent and the skin can be fried or verging on rubbery at times. They use way more sauce, where the Wingstop barely coats its wings. Although they we're busy one time and barely coated the wings. They also may have been training new workers, since they just opened recently. They fixed the problem to my satisfaction without fuss. The wings are consistently bigger at Duccini's. The dressing is just Ken's Steakhouse pre-packaged, but I like it better than Wingstop's because it is tangier. The Wingstop has big blue cheese chunks, but their fresh base is rather bland.

The western fries are a healthy portion of potato wedges with a seasoned coating.

I haven't used delivery, but their advertising mentions free delivery.

Our go to place of this sort was Paisano's, but the quality is as good and the quantity is better...
