Hardee’s — Restaurant in Virginia

First, let me just say this location looks nothing like what is viewed online for this location. In 35 plus years we have never seen this location in the disgusting, nasty mess it was in and with the level of unprofessionalism witnessed today. Upon arrival, we entered the main side entrance we encountered a black extension cord across an extremely sticky, dirty nasty floor attached to an employees phone charger as she set there in the midst of a nasty dirty dining area on her phone. While there we witnessed two elderly people enter, one who caught the toe of his shoe on the cord and the other who used her cane to hold the cord down so she could walk across it. Not once did the employee whose phone was attached to the cord attempt to assist them or move the cord. The floors, counter tops, tables and chairs were all a sticky nasty mess. Trash cans were full over flowing and the bathrooms were awful! The behind the counter employees were yelling at the employees seated in the dining area then an argument ensued between them. The food was cold. And, we were told they didn't have coffee after breakfast time. The manager had zero control nor did she attempt to address any of the visible issues. All of the employees looked disheveled. We must say we were very shocked. Out of respect for this establishment and its employees we will not be posting the pictures we took. It would not do anyone any good to completely embarrass these employees. However, we will be forwarding to the corporate office. The safety issue is our main concern to be addressed. This was a very sad experience. The employees had no concern for the safety of others nor did they have any desire to clean the place...

Normally I really enjoy this location. Relatively fast service and friendly customers. NOT today. Not only did we have to pull around and wait 15+ minutes until we finally went in to receive our order. But once we got it one item was missing all together, and the other was wrong. When I went back in to get it corrected the "manager" was extremely rude and unprofessional. Not only was she going ma'am, ma'am. And interrupting me while I was attempting to tell them what was wrong, but she was then snarky, and went in the back and very LOUDLY complained about how awful all of the days customers were. Multiple people waiting for corrections to their food in the lobby. Not sure if they were having an off day or what. But I work in a fast food environment with a drive thru as well, and you just don't treat your customers like that. I did not yell, curse or get rude with them, I simply asked for my meal to be corrected. I don't expect to be able to hear the person who's supposedly responsible enough to be in charge talking trash...

Went to the drive thru and there was no line, was asked to hold for a minute. 10 minutes later finally able to give our order. Had to repeat the 2nd item 3 times. Drove up to the window, they took our payment and gave us drinks with no straws. Another 5 minutes later waiting as we watched 4 workers stand around as there was no one waiting to be served at the counter either. I’m not sure why it was taking so long for our food as they were clearly not busy. However, we were then asked to drive forward and wait for our fries. Another 10 minutes later, our food was brought out to us. At this point it’s no longer fast food. I order the 3 piece chicken platter. My fries were warm not hot. My husband ordered the #2, super star with bacon. His fries were warm not hot. If we’re waiting on fries, I’d expect them to be hot & fresh. The food was not hot & fresh, and the wait was ridiculous given it was not busy. The food is not worth the price or the wait. We will not be back nor do I recommend this place. If I could give zero...
