I Luv Teriyaki, located on Route 1, has rightfully earned its place as my favorite restaurant in the area. This gem of a dining spot offers an exquisite taste of authentic Japanese cuisine, with a particular highlight being their exceptional teriyaki sauce.
Each dish served at I Luv Teriyaki is a testament to the culinary skills of the chefs. The teriyaki sauce, a perfect blend of sweet and savory, is the star of the show. It's rich, flavorful, and has a homemade quality that sets it apart from any other teriyaki sauce I've tasted. Whether it's drizzled over perfectly grilled chicken or mixed into a stir-fry, the sauce elevates every dish to a new level of deliciousness.
The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting and cozy, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both new and returning patrons. Service is consistently friendly and efficient, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every time.
In summary, I Luv Teriyaki isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary experience that leaves a lasting impression. Its standout teriyaki sauce and the warm, friendly atmosphere make it a must-visit spot on Route 1 for anyone in search of an authentic and...

The Chicken Yakisoba had just a few strands of noodle and an abundance of greens, and the previous nights chicken. Granted, I was probably the first customer of the day I would rather have waited for fresh chicken to be prepared and noodles to be found than had to have paid for this embarrassment of a plate.
The chicken Katsu looked as if it was just thrown into a bowl of egg and flour, no crispy Panko to be found. Chicken was over cooked and dry. This was my personal plate and living in Hawaii and San Diego I’ve had quite a bit of katsu. This plate is at the very bottom of that list.
All in all, the Yakisoba was for my daughter and she wanted nothing to do with it. The chicken katsu is probably the worst I’ve had in Virginia and close to the bottom of my all time list. The gyoza is frozen then fried so they can’t really mess that up.
Would not recommend for anyone, especially anyone who has actually has enjoyed Japanese plate lunch style...
Read moreWhat a gem! While traveling long-distance, my wife and I stopped at I Luv Teriyaki. From the outside, it seemed small and second-rate. We almost didn't go inside. We're so glad we did.
Ultimately the score for any restaurant comes down to the food no matter how much is spent on the lobby. This food rivals the best Japanese hibachi anywhere. Portions were huge, with more meat than I get for double the price at the high-end Japanese steakhouses. The free salad was a nice surprise that only got better when I tasted the dressing.
We dined inside. My meal was the chicken-shrimp combo. My wife had the chicken teriyaki. There were many other choices available, which we will try the next time we are travelling through this area. We are likely to plan our travel around being in this area...
