The food was great. I got a breakfast taco for $3.89 (I think) and it was loaded with fillings (I got egg, sausage, potato, and shredded cheese). The tortilla itself was very good. It felt and tasted homemade.
The service was pretty mid. I started off with a man, and I don't know if he was new or what, but he either absolutely did not know what to do or was pretending to be incompetent to get out of doing work. First, he had to get help from the woman who was working to even start making the taco. After she said to put the sausage and egg onto the tortilla (kinda wild that he didn't know to do that), instead of putting the sausage on the tortilla, he started breaking it up into the egg container (so maybe don't eat here if you're a strict vegetarian, lol). She noticed what he was doing and verbally corrected him (with very clear instructions) and he just kinda gave up and walked away, so she had to take over. She was clearly frustrated, which is totally understandable given she was already doing other work. I hope she sees this review and knows that she was totally valid to be frustrated, because what do you mean you don't know how to make a taco?!
If this guy is a new employee, he needs someone to train him better. But also, if he gets so confused about scooping prepared food into a prepared tortilla, maybe he needs a role with different...
Read moreI think I had a more positive experience than some other reviewers. We gave Laredo Taco a try for the first time while in Ashburn visiting relatives. Who would have thought that a good taco stand was in a 7-11? We had the chicken tacos and the steak tacos. The dough was pre-made but fresh and then onto the flattop for browning. The ingredients were fresh as well--tasty meat, crunchy peppers. Choice of garnishes and salsas. We did the 2 for $7 which included a Big Gulp drink, and had no hassle from the cashier on pricing. Looking forward to our next trip to Ashburn area to try them again. Skip the fried chicken--eat the tacos! BTW, our taco maker was quite helpful and we loved...
Read moreliterally gas station food. I drove by it several times before i realized it's inside the gas station convenience store. so no tables or service, leaving just the food to speak for itself. i am torn on which standard i should use to rate them. they a advertise as a restaurant, so i rate them as such. as a convenience store, the rating would have 2 more stars. i had a bean and cheese taco. the tortilla was good, the cheese was a decent quality Jack, and that was about it for the high points. i added potatoes, and they tasted ok, but had been in the warmer too long and were rubbery. the true low point was the beans. you can't convince me that they weren't straight...
