Decent place, wait staff friendly and willing to give you information about the menu. I have been to many of these types of restaurants in the past and they all have their own "best" thing about them although at this place I can not pick one "best". Here, the food tasted pretty good, meat was cooked perfectly although I personally didn't like the shrimp, it was not bad, just not the flavoring I enjoy. The cooks name was Jesus and he was a great show, it was my daughters birthday so he gave her a lot of attention. They came out after and sang happy birthday to her and hit the gong. That was nice. Downs - No sharing, most of these places frown upon sharing but will charge you $5 for an extra plate if you are persistent, this place just said no way, not allowed. With me was a young teen who hardly eats and they also would not let her have the children's menu (10 and under) which was still $12. She ended up just getting an appetizer for dinner. I was a little surprised they didn't offer any kind of dessert for my daughters birthday or offer her to hit the gong herself (other places do that) I asked the waiter when he camp back if she could, he said she could and got it and brought it out. That made her happy. We paid and were leaving, the older lady at the counter was not pleasantly departing us, and as I was walking out I saw a nice note on the door from a child. As I read it, he wrote how much he liked the place and specifically called out birthdays.. He said they gave ice cream or cake on birthdays, this made me a little more disappointed that they had not offered. I didn't say anything, we were already out the door. Maybe next time I'll mention it.
Overall it was an ok place. I have nothing in this area to compare to so I may or may...
Read moreWent to the restaurant on the Valentine’s Day for a fun family meal. Hibachi is fun for kids! While hibachi food was fine, the chef did all the tricks that were cool, there were multiple issues that made the evening just “sad” for me. First we were not seated for 45 minutes when we came with a reservation. Second, the waitress was upset the entire time and skipped things like offering straws for my family and beverages refill, something she did for rest of the people on our hibachi table. The worst part was, I did not get my order until everyone was done eating! I had ordered sushi and so did another gentleman from another group on my table. He received his, I did not. I tried to get the waitress’ attention but she continued to avoid me (I wonder why), eventually indicated something like the sushi chef is over there (gestured in the general direction where he was supposed to be)!! I decided to follow up myself so left the table two times to ask the receptionist as well as the “manager” (the only people I saw available). My food finally arrived when everyone was apologetically about to leave (everyone saw what was going on). And guess what, I ate it all up I was so starving but was it good, meh!! I thought the food tastes tastier when you are hungry, but no, it did not! I left upset, not the evening I was hoping for our Valentine’s Day! I started with a positive and will end with it as well - kids enjoyed the hibachi show and food. The manager was eventually sorry and said he will do something special for me when I come back. Well, thank you but...
Read moreI hate hate HATE writing this review.... but unfortunately as a regular whos ordered thousands of dollars from here over the years I must. I am never one to talk down to a small business online but as someone whos eaten from here for years something needs to be said. I've ordered / eaten table side four times since the new year. Something has changed. For a 50$++ per person entrée the quality and portions are just not the same. The fillet in the fillet and Shrimp combo is very obviously sirloin or another cheaper cut and the portions amount to less then 2 oz which is just absurd. The shrimp have a heavy fishy smell to them and just taste off. The quality of the ingredients have just gone down hill and the pricing only goes up. I understand changes to food cost, I understand raising prices to keep up and I don't mind paying a premium for a premium meal, but do not charge your loyal patrons higher prices for lower quality product. As a saving grace the service is always top notch and I enjoy the atmosphere of dinning in. Something needs to change, I will not keep giving chances and paying 150$+ for a dinner for me and my partner to just keep getting let down. I hope this is taken in a positive manor by ownership and changes are made because I enjoy coming here and ordering out when I feel the need to treat myself and I know...
