I must confess, my recent visit to Thai Deelish left me utterly disappointed and downright appalled. What was once a go-to spot for delicious, reasonably priced Thai cuisine has transformed into an overpriced, underwhelming mockery of its former self. Let's start with the portion sizes, shall we? It's as if the chefs have taken a page out of the "how to alienate your customers" handbook. The servings have shrunk to laughable proportions, barely enough to satisfy a small child, let alone a hungry adult. You'll be lucky to find more than a couple of measly morsels of meat swimming in a sea of bland, watery sauce. And speaking of meat, the quality has plummeted faster than a skydiver without a parachute. The chicken is rubbery, the beef is tough, and the shrimp... well, let's just say you'll be playing a game of "spot the crustacean" in your curry. It's a far cry from the tender, flavorful proteins that once graced their dishes. Now, brace yourself for the most infuriating part: the prices. Thai Deelish has the audacity to charge an arm and a leg for these pitiful excuses for meals. You'll be forking over a small fortune for what essentially amounts to a few bites of subpar food. It's highway robbery, plain and simple. But fear not, dear readers, for there is a beacon of hope amidst this culinary catastrophe. If you're craving authentic, mouthwatering Thai food that won't break the bank, look no further than Thai Thastic. This hidden gem puts Thai Deelish to shame in every conceivable way. At Thai Thastic, the portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and the prices are more than reasonable. You'll leave with a full belly and a smile on your face, knowing you've just experienced the true essence of Thai cuisine. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is inviting, and the food... oh, the food! It's a veritable symphony of tastes and textures that will have your taste buds singing with joy. So, my advice to you is this: avoid Thai Deelish like the plague. Don't waste your hard-earned money on their overpriced, underwhelming fare. Instead, make a beeline for Thai Thastic and prepare to be amazed. Trust me, your stomach (and your wallet) will thank you. I’d like to add that the beef and broccoli below costs nearly $20.

It's chilly out and I really wanted ramen, but as it turns out, Ashburn doesn't have a ramen scene. Instead, I looked for noodle soups and was intrigued by the offerings here. On a Tuesday evening, it was devoid of any diners indoors. You seat yourself when you enter. The server was very busy - there's a steady stream of pickup/delivery orders. Still, she was nice enough, and served us quickly. We ordered the tom yum noodle soup with vermicelli and the red curry noodle soup with thin rice noodles. Both were hot, flavorful (light on salt though), and had a decent amount of veggies and protein. The portion was quite large. We at half of each and took the rest home. Pricing is standard and what you'd find across Northern VA (as far as noodle soups, whether Taiwanese, Malaysian, Laotian, or otherwise). It's not the best I've ever had, but it hit my cravings and I was satisfied. We also ordered a tea - it comes as a teabag and mug of hot water vs brewed. All in all I'd come back.

I visited Thai Deelish recently for the first time during what apparently was their lunch time. Upon being seated, the lunch menu was already placed on the table and no other menu was brought out to you for a different variety of items. I ended up ordering the Drunken Noodles with beef, and the lunch special had two veggie dumplings and a tofu soup to accompany it. I didn't really like the soup that was part of the lunch special to be honest and I would have chosen a different soup had I had the full menu but unfortunately it seemed as though they didn't want anyone ordering off of the regular full menu. I wish this was advised beforehand. The food tasted good and the service and the atmosphere were okay as well, as this restaurant is somewhat casual. The only downside is what I mentioned with regards to not being able to order other items off of their full menu. Thank you

This spot has become my go-to Thai From the moment you walk in—or even when you order online—you’re welcomed by a friendly, attentive team that truly cares. The gracious hostess checked our order twice to make sure everything was perfect. It was. The food was fresh and zesty, perfect balance of salty and sweet. We loved the satay, pad Thai, and tea.

Flavor & Menu Variety

Thai Deelish excels in balancing sour, sweet, salty, and bitter in every plate. Their menu spans all four major Thai regions—Northern, Northeastern (Isan), Central, and Southern—bringing you a wide-ranging and authentic culinary journey . Their noodles, curries, and stir-fries are rooted in tradition, yet vibrant and modern in execution.

Crowd Favorites • Drunken noodles (especially extra spicy) that deliver a fiery, unforgettable punch . • The classic Pad Thai impresses patrons with its balanced and harmonious flavors . • Chicken satay with peanut sauce draws special praise: “Ever since going to the vet next by, I haven’t stopped eating here once a month! … The chicken satay is the best here! The peanut sauce is on point.”

Authenticity & Portion Delight

People who grew up with Thai cuisine feel at home here. As one reviewer shared:

“Hands down yummy! You know a Thai place is good when people from Thailand eat there.” Portions are generous, flavors are rich, and the ingredients are fresh and MSG-free .

Why This Spot Stands Out • Regional diversity: A menu that explores the full spectrum of Thai regional specialties . • Generous and bold: Hearty portions with complex, deeply satisfying flavors . • Friendly and precise service: Orders double-checked, special requests honored—every visit feels thoughtfully curated .

⸻

Final Verdict

Thai Deelish is not just another noodle joint—it’s a destination for Thai food lovers craving authenticity, flavor variety, and heartfelt hospitality. If you value bold seasoning, regional depth, and spot-on service, this place checks all the boxes...

It was cold (30F) and I was waiting for a friend. The doordash Delivery people were coming in and out. I was near the front door waiting for my party and the lady in charge told me to stop opening the door because I’m annoying her. I told her that it wasn’t me and I asked her if she remembered me (because I go there with my family at least 2 times a month). I told her that it was the delivery people and I was just waiting. I opened the door once when I saw a car that looked like one of ours but it wasn’t. She said she recognized me but I couldn’t be opening the door all the time. and I told her we would go somewhere else. It’s December and I know it’s cold but how could you blame your customers for opening the door??? I understand she could have thought it was me, but that is no way to approach any customer whether is a loyal or new customer.

For the people looking at this review, the food is amazing. Probably the best Thai in the area. But service is so mediocre. Especially blaming customers for opening...
