I have driven by Nicks many times and laughed to myself about the name, two things you normally wouldn’t associate with each other. The day I chose to finally try it I was rewarded with one of the best meals I have had in the area since moving to the peninsula. The atmosphere is great and the servers are all warm and friendly. But the star of the show is the food. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and reasonably priced. I love the big round banquet style tables so you can have a group and all be comfortable. I was very impressed and it’s now one of my favorites. On my latest visit I had a salad , steak, baked potato and a Diet Coke. Everything was prepared perfectly and was delicious. All for under $30 including tip. The mile high lasagna though!

Got there Sunday, just as they opened. Some people were already seated (we thought, perhaps, locals) and we were invited to pick our seats (I want to make a joke here). We had the lunch specials: Fried Shrimp and Fried Flounder with fries and salad. Everything was good except the coleslaw, it was just fair. The service was good until the waitress, having an extended conversation at a nearby table (with a local?), had to be called over to check us out. I recommend giving Nick's a try if you're traveling on Rt 17 just north of the Coleman Bridge over the York River.

A year later and I still can't understand why this place isn't packed to the gills every night. This time my mom and I went for lunch and basically had the place to ourselves. I had souvlaki and Greek-style rice and she had a Delmonico with side salad and baked potato. Her "small" steak was huge, flavorful and cooked rare, just as she'd asked. My souvlaki was tender and well marinated. Side salad was very simple -- just iceberg, onion and cherry tomatoes -- but very fresh. Service was great but with long gaps between waitress sightings. Prices were reasonable.

I really want to stop any person that wants to go here! My husband and I decided to try this place, because we want to try all of the restaurant's in Gloucester VA as we are from Alabama and wanted to get a real feel of the place. We wanted to try every place here. This was the first place we decided to eat at. When we came into the restaurant, I already had a weird feeling about the place, looks as if there is no up keep to the inside of the building. Seem okay clean. My server came to the table and didn't say much, We got our drinks at a reasonable time, but that was the only thing reasonable about the whole dinner. We ordered our food we had, Mac and cheese bits they where warm, and came with a type of dipping sauce that tasted like a stew. Not good. I had a Greek salad that was more like a hunk of cheese, hunk of tomato/onions, some olives. It was alot for your money I will give them that. My husband had a soup that tasted like soup I got in school lunches, we had the seafood platter. Literally The worst seafood I have ever had!(they are not for from the ocean it can't be hard to get fresh seafood) The crab cake looked like the bad crabby patty off of spongbob squarpants. (I hope most get this). The other stuff I didn't really eat, had a shrimp it was okay. The fried oysters where BAD!! On top of all of this we had bad service, we had to ask another server for things (drinks, dips) I was a server I know she/he wasn't doing a good job because she had a 2 top and a 5 top. Not busy at all (as we all know why! they are bad!) She/he then decide to not even attempted to be nice, after we ask the other server For drinks. Over all 1-10 how it was. It could be on kitchen nightmares (the TV show). Maybe it was a bad night, maybe the server had a bad day, maybe they had a cook walk out. I don't know all I know is that it was bad enough to not get a second chance. I wish the best if you eat there, and hope it was a better night. Good luck to the place I really hope you take my comments and constructive criticism. Good luck Nick,s. Oh and ditch the advertisment...

Right out of the car I could tell this was going to be a diamond in the rough type of restaurant. It has a old school greek restaurant vibe you would find in the mist unassuming places that was packed with all sorts of mother land specialties. It did not disappoint. The staff who greated me were very friendly and attentive, and the patrons were very delighted to share their favorite menu dishes with me. My wife, kid, and I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and the Everything Spaghetti for dinner which was paired with either soup/salad and thick sliced potato bread. Both entrees were excellent and packed full of flavor, we opted for salad which was good portion and the dressings homemade ranch/greek were excellent. I was extreamly delighted that the marinara sauce was acidic, very flavorful, and not sweet; something I often complain about in most American Italian and Greek resturants. The star of the meal though was the homemade Limoncello cake. HOLY COW was it bursting with flavor. Absolutely hands down mouthwatering savoring cake. We will most definitely be returning to try more...

First, this is the location at Gloucester Point... it is definitely not as good as the location on Hwy. 33 past West Point...

I wanted the special which was supposed to be a small Ribeye and Scallops... I asked to upgrade the steak to an X-Cut Delmonico and for the scallops to be pan-seared. The waitress was very sweet stated that she would have to ask if they could do that. She came out and told me that they could upgrade the steak, but the scallops were already pre-battered....

This really confused me because Nick's on Hwy. 33 always batters there seafood fresh. So I just ordered the X-Cut Delmonico...

When the state came out it was cooked perfectly to medium rare as requested... However, it was a New York Strip... I did not say anything because we're in town because of the death in the family and did not have time to have them remake it. Needless to say very disappointed in this location and will not be going back... Which is sad because the server was very nice...
