Too bad I can't give it less than 1 star!! The worst seafood I have had in the area hands down. Went to pickup food for my wife for mother's day we had ordered to pick up at 3 and once there they didn't have my order ready. Stated it would be ready in 10 mins I figured ok they are busy being its mothers day weekend but was actually closer to 30 mins. Once I got the food it was all cold!! As far as the food... Crab cakes- do yourself a favor and get some from foodlion up the street as they will surely be better!
Steamed Shrimp- ha ordered heavy seasoning and was hardly and at all, very plain!
Fried shrimp were horrible my kids would not even eat them!
Mac and cheese appeared to be right out the box and may have been the best part of the food, which isn't saying much!
Hush puppies- ok but still seemed to be frozen and heated up to serve.
Alligator bites- cold and ok I guess but not much to compare it to.
Baked potato- not thoroughly cooked, hard and the worst ever. I can make better for sure, but I don't advertise and sell mine!!
I spent $140.00 on food there and if I had known the quality would have just went to a fast food place!! Do yourself a favor and go up the street to Dixie Joe's they have much better seafood and I have never had cold food from there and order always ready on time!!
I am beyond unhappy with Peanut's seafood they have ruined what should have been a great meal for mothers day for my family. We will have to start over and try to cook a different meal, they wasted my time and money and I would highly recommend to any one who thinks about trying Peanut's to just go somewhere else. I have lived in the area my whole life and will be sure to tell everyone I know or meet in the area to not go here, again just go a couple miles up the street to...

Don’t let the exterior fool you—Peanut’s Steak and Seafood is absolutely worth a visit! The food is reasonably priced, and the quality exceeded our expectations.
We tried the Prime Rib Cheesesteak, which came loaded with lettuce, tomato, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. We added extra cheese, but honestly, it didn’t even need it! The sandwich was packed with real, hearty cuts of meat—none of that thin, frozen stuff you find elsewhere. It wasn’t greasy, just flavorful and satisfying. The cheesesteak came with mac and cheese, which wasn’t the traditional kind but was still really good.
We also had the Crabcake Sandwich, which was another winner. You can get it with mayo or tartar sauce—we opted for tartar, which tasted like it was house-made. It came with a side, and we went for the green beans with maple bacon—on the sweeter side but still tasty. Both sandwiches were fresh and came with a pickle on the side.
For an appetizer, we had the crab dip, and it was fantastic—you could actually taste the crab, not just filler.
The staff was friendly and interactive, making the dining experience even better. The decor is fitting for the name, with a fishing and water theme.
Portions were generous—our cheesesteak was so loaded we had to take some home, which is never a bad thing! Great value for the price.
We’re already looking forward to coming back for breakfast—the Eggs Benedict meal looks mouthwatering! Definitely worth...
Read moreMy wife and I were finished with our Sunday errands and looming for a place to have lunch. We decided to drive 20 minutes out of our way to a place called Peanut's Steak and Seafood in Spotsylvania Courthouse. From the outside it's a very unassuming place. However when we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly server. We sat at one of the relatively few tables they had. I think Peanut's might be more of a carry out place. They obviously specialized in crabs. On the wall was the Super Bowl specials, which included crabs, crawfish, frogs legs, alligator nuggets. They also had beer in the cold case to go, along with sodas. Anyway, we sat and ordered drinks. My wife wanted unsweetened ice tea, however they only had sweet tea. She had that, and reported that it wasn't overly sweet so it was fine. I had a Dr. Pepper, which came bottled. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer. They were very good, nicely breaded and hot. My wife ordered two soft shell crabs, one made into a sandwich. She loves soft shell crabs, and said that these were quite good sized and very good. I had a Ribeye Steak Sandwich, medium, with baked beans. The steak was decent, and it may have been medium rare instead of medium. However to me over-cooking is the greater sin so it was fine. We enjoyed Peanut's, and if we're in the area again, we would...
