Classic Chocolate Chip
A timeless favorite. We took Grandma's recipe and made it our own because who doesn't crave the perfect chocolate chip cookie? It's soft, delicious, and nostalgic. *Items are available on a first come first serve basis or until stock runs out for the day
Triple Chocolate Chip
A chocolate lover's dream. Soft and chewy chocolate cookies with a combination of semi-sweet, milk, & white chocolate chips. *Items are available on a first come first serve basis or until stock runs out for the day
Snickerdoodle
Like a sugar cookie but better. Soft & chewy cookies rolled in cinnamon sugar. *Items are available on a first come first serve basis or until stock runs out for the day
Sugar
A classic favorite cookie with a delicious flavor combination of butter, sugar, flour, and egg baked to a soft perfection. A melt in your mouth type of taste and feeling. *Items are available on a first come first serve basis or until stock runs out for the day
Oatmeal Chip
A soft and chewy classic. It's like a chocolate chip cookie but add oats, and then you can even pretend it's healthy. *Items are available on a first come first serve basis or until stock runs out for the day

Great ice cream! Great people! Great location! Great hours! I'm lactose intolerant when it comes to processed diary, personally, but I can eat Rookie's with no problem. I think because they get their milk from Homestead Creamery, a good (and local!) farm/source. They don't always have vegan/non-diary ice cream, from my experience, although they've made a lot of new changes, so maybe they do have it consistently now. But either way, their ice cream is delicious and comes from ethical places and the service is amazing! It's one of my favorite places to go for an occasional special treat with friends or just by myself after work to chill and relax and treat myself. Rookie's never fails to deliver the best spot for a spontaneous late night summer adventure with friends either, since they are open late (11 or 11:30 I think). During the warm summer months I could not wait until the end of the week when I got paid on Friday and Rookie's was open to go and treat myself. God bless this place! Rookie's has become very dear to my heart with many fond memories having been made here.❤ (Seen on the pictures is their lemon ice cream and sugar cookie) Last time I went there with my husband, they had a delicious selection! I wish I could remember what we got. (I didn't take any pictures, either.) I know I got some kind of a coffee/espresso drink with icecream in it. I hope that's something they're still offering - it was delicious!!!

I LOVE ROOKIE'S! Tragically, I live 2,443 miles away, but perhaps that's a good thing because I would be broke and my doctor would be pretty unhappy with my health. But truly, I love this place. The staff are always the best and the ice cream is such a delight. I made an ice cream cookie sandwich with triple chocolate and brown sugar cookies and a scoop of Crack. SO GOOD! You have to try this flavor. Kiersten, the employee working when we were there last, was so patient and answered all of my questions, allowing me plenty of time to decide my perfect flavor combo. And it's only like $5???? Incredible. LOVE IT HERE! Would 10000% recommend!! (P.S. Rookie's, if you're seeing this, please call me asap if you ever decide to open a SoCal location!)

The best thing this place has going for it is the fun, outdoor environment. The line was pretty long and took about 20 minutes to get through but we didn't mind as it was a warm, clear night. The cookies themselves are good but I wasn't really amazed by them. They are average sized cookies with slightly above average taste. Perhaps a cookie can only impress me so much. You can get cold milk as well which is an awesome touch (what's a cookie without milk?). It's a cool small business and we will return but more so for the fun atmosphere and not necessarily the cookies.

Hands-down the absolute BEST ice cream sandwich I could ever even dream to have tasted. Since discovering this local hot spot over a year ago, my girlfriend and I have been back again and again, always impressed. This place was recently transformed from a modest food truck to a full building in order to accommodate a very satisfied clientele which keeps growing with no sign of stopping. Their ice cream is top-notch, never freezer-burned because customers love it so much, it doesn't even have enough time in the freezer to lose any of its flavor. Combine that with two oven-baked cookies and you have a true masterpiece. Their selection of ice cream and cookies will ensure that no matter what you get, you can never be disappointed. On a few occasions we have been there late at night and some of their supply is gone for the day, but that's just a sign that business is booming. If you think for a second that you can visit Lynchburg without having Rookie's Cookies (and ice cream), you are...

Honestly, not worth it at all. Not worth the wait or the price. My wife and I had heard so much about this place so we finally decided to stop by. After maybe a 15 minute wait, we each ordered an ice cream cookie sandwich and also received two chocolate chip cookies because it was Rookie's anniversary. Needless to say, we were underwhelmed. The ice cream was quite delicious, but unfortunately it's from a different creamery (not made by Rookie's). Kudos to Rookie's for finding and using Homestead Creamery ice cream, which is probably what people should be paying to buy. The bigger let down was the size of the sandwich which they charge $4 for and the cookies themselves. The cookies were actually quite bland and both my wife and I agree that, not only do we make better cookies, but most cookies we've had from other places (professional and private) are better than the cookies from Rookie's. We will not...
