Rosa's Italian Pizza & Restaurant — Restaurant in Virginia

Unfortunately in the last few months we have noticed significant changes. Although, we realize that the pandemic has affected restaurants in many cases and can overlook increases or menu items changing.We have even overlooked the charge to use a credit card now.

Today our experience was terrible. We were the only table at the time. Many of the family members were sitting and eating Subway or Burger King items. Sitting three booths from us.

We ordered a half & half tea and unsweet tea. The unsweet came out sweet. Sent that back. Unsweet comes out SOUR! For those of you who drink tea you know what old tea tastes like. Nasty. Sent those back. Changed for other items.

Ordered two small salads adding cheese, croutons and bell pepper. And a mini cheese pizza well done. We also had corn nuggets. (Those we’re good).

Ate the appetizer. The shabby little salad without croutons; less than a 1/2 T of green peppers (2 pieces rotten), mealy tomato, a frozen cucumber and maybe 6 flecks of cheese.

Parmesan has changed. Not for the better! The server (a twin never gave her name) was polite but needed major training. Did not pre-bus, brought our pizza out and walked away. It WAS COLD! Asked her to remove it from the bill. I showed her how cold it was by laying my hand ON the slice.

Saddens my husband and I because we travel for over 35 minutes to go there and normally love it. We had one other incident about four years ago. Took a break and went back. It was good while it lasted. PS don’t go into the...

I've been trying not to write this review so hard over the past year, but I can not avoid it any longer. We have ordered from Rosa's many times over the past year because we want to support local business and their food is generally good--when it actually comes. The issue is the order literally never comes correct. Sometimes we alert the restaurant, sometimes we just let it slide. We always order wings for my husband. 100% of the time they are either forgotten or the wrong flavor. Today they simply did not come. My veggie sub was loaded with steak tonight, I didn't realize it in time and just spent the past 45 minutes vomiting and may not be done. I haven't eaten meat in 17 years. Fries and pizza stone cold tonight. Desserts are always forgotten, as are salad dressings, which is a shame, because they are really good! The owner often answers when we call. He is typically dismissive and rude, never apologizes, seems annoyed at me, and has never offered any refund. I always tip 25+% in addition to the $7 delivery fee and am always very nice when I call. He is not interested in our business, so I guess it's back to Pizza Hut on game nights. We'll safe a lot of money, get our food much quicker, and almost certainly more accurately. 10/10 do...

Ok... Friday Food Critic night at Rosa's. Menu Item - Steak and Cheese, loaded down, Double meat, Double Cheese with Fries. Honestly, the sub was freaking awesome! Reeeaaalllly close to 5 stars. I will say... the double meat is not necessary. It was almost too much, but that's what we ordered and it we desired a big Ole sloppy mess to clean up afterwards with a fork. The only thing that held back a 5 star is the lack of Hoagie Spread at the establishment (we used our own... it's a must have with a proper steak and cheese), the crinkle cut fries (Honestly, who likes crinkle cut fries?), and the general quality of the meat. It was not bad meat. But is wasn't GOOOOOOD flavorful steak either.

Would I get it again. Hell yeah, still the best on this side of Richmond. I've only ever had a true 5 star steak and cheese experience a handful of times in my life, so this I feel like is really good.

The folks are nice and the atmosphere is exactly what you expect and even desire from a small local pizza joint.

Oh, 95% of the time, the pizza is ON too... but that's forbade...
