Shun Xing — Restaurant in Virginia

We have been here many times in the past and it was ok, but not anymore! We called in the $6.95 lunch special including wonton soup plus 2 egg rolls at $1.75 each, total $10.45 plus tax.. When we get there you can't go inside anymore, they have this tiny slot in the plexiglass to stick your debit card in and you can't see the machine inside clear enough to read it. The lady inside tells you the total due, but you cannot understand what she says, you just have to trust its the correct amount. I paid, got our food through a hole cut out in plexiglass, then headed home. On the way home I pulled the recipe out of the bag and noticed we were way overcharged, total was $16.21. No way the tax is $5.76 but we went on home because we were hungry. The food we opened up at home had to be from the day befores heated up leftovers. It was tough and kind of hard to chew, even the rice tasted like heated up leftovers. We would have been better off going to a nearby Foodlion and getting a $2.00 frozen dinner to take home to eat, it was that bad. Several calls with the restaurant and the bank later, they STILL havent gotten things straightened out. &BTW I didnt even eat half of my food. We ended up walking out. I came with my friend and his daughter. A fly landed in his daughters noodles. She started crying. I asked the lady at the counter to make another noodle dish, very nicely. The lady said its too much trouble and said throw away the noodles the fly touched. Wow. They obviously care nothing about their customers. If you are looking for some wonderful, great tasting Chinese Food then this is the place to go seriously. Whether it is at this location or the one located over in Martinsville beside Food Lion, down the street from the old Druid Lanes Bowling Alley then this is the place to go. There is only a couple tables inside the restaurant for Dining In at this location because most people just call in and place an order for a pick up. With all that said, you can't go wrong with this place if looking for something else to eat then the same ole normal items you may have every night.
