While the cleanliness has gone up considerably since receiving a face lift, the customer service hasn’t changed in the 3+ years I’ve been going to this location. I can only imagine it’s management who’s to blame for the rigidity and overall miserable atmosphere the employees have. I’ve only ever had a pleasant experience with a young girl working there once, and haven’t seen her since.
The main issue I have with this location is how adamant they are about substitutions. Once I ordered a sandwich off the menu and because I wanted a different cheese (not more or premium, just a different cheese) than what was pre-determined on the menu, they told me that no longer makes it the same sandwich and they have to charge me extra to change the cheese. I asked other subways and they said that was ridiculous and not true. Another time I ordered the elite chicken bacon ranch online (which has premium meat/extra cheese) and asked if I could switch the rottisserie to regular chicken… essentially asking if I could downgrade the meal, but I would still pay for the elite. I even told them I didn’t want the double cheese that comes on it. The worker adamantly refused and made me reorder it online which ended up costing $2 more for less food because I had to add everything on separately. When did we stop having regular chicken bacon ranch on the menu? Why is there only the elite option now? Not to mention, I paid $2 more and the amount of chicken and bacon I received on the sandwich was abysmal. Either he shorted me the right amount of meat, or the manager is having them underportion their servings. Almost half of the sandwich didn’t even have any meat on it at all. There was two tiny slices of bacon ($2.50) and what looked to be a 6” worth of chicken on a foot long. Honestly, the worst part wasn’t even the food. It was the extremely sour and unempathetic attitude the worker had. It would have cost him nothing to make the substitution… if anything, it would help their food costs by me asking for the cheaper meat and less cheese. The gentleman that fixes the sandwiches is phenomenal. However. I came in about 8pm Friday to pickup an online order thst I placed. I had to use the restroom. I saw the rack that holds the chips in front of the hall to the bathroom. I asked the gentleman is the bathroom closed. He said let me ask whomever the young lady that was also working. I saw her come from the bathroom area and she stated the bathrooms are closed from 730p-10p every night. So you are telling me that if I came off that highway after a long trip; hungry and having to use the restroom i have to go to let's say Wawa or Sheetz? What if I want a subway sub instead?
