Tea House — Restaurant in Virginia

Order wasn't fully complete when I arrived. It was missing two items. I was asked to wait an additional amount of time, which sure...stuff happens. However, about 5 minutes later my order comes out, but includes an item I didn't order, crunchy noodles. The crunchy noodles on the menu are an additional 50 cents. I made the descision to not order them, as I typically don't eat them even when included with the soup. I was told the noodles came with the soup. When I asked for clarification, that indeed it was an upcharge, the man working explained that most people don't realize they charge for the noodles and are upset when they don't get them, so they "just put them in." I confirmed an additional time that I was charged for the noodles I specifically didn't want or order. He responded with "fine. If you dont want them, give them to me and I will give you 50 cents." Keep in mind I already paid tip which was paid before I saw they charged me for an item I didn't order.

In the end, I had to ask to get all the items I ordered added to my pickup, and then they snuck in an item I never ordered and charged me for it.

The food is just ok, it isn't the best at all, but also not the worst I have had. I would however highly recommend other restaurants in the Charlottesville area yo get your Chinese food orders. Especially as they are less likely to sneak in charges for...

The sushi is good. But something needs to be done with their inability to adequately derive their customers. They have one to two employees working. Not enough. I went in on a Friday night with my son and it was packed they had one booth left, I asked to sit there and the employee told me no there was “stuff there”. Well it was her stuff. Her phone and I pad it was like a desk. So we sat at the sushi bar and I was told we would have to wait 30 minutes to get sushi. I said OK after 20 minutes of waiting she said we can’t do sushi. We are too busy I said but it’s on the menu. She apologized and said they couldn’t do it my son and I walked out very disappointing. Worst chinese food !!! Tried this resarurant for 2nd time....last year was first time and it was gross. Limited options in Crozet so decided to try again for 2nd time.....still gross. This time I took time to call Management and tell them all the things that were horrible about their food (i.e. beef tasted bad, old and orange chicken had bone and grissle and soggy), told to bring food back for refund where Management argued with me then refunded $16 out of a $32 tab. Never apologized either!!! I will never go there again and will tell everyone I know about the terrible food and customer service. I am praying we...
