Super excited to have a coffee shop in Nokesville. Literally two minutes from my house. Great location for DC commuters. The shop itself is cute and welcoming. Younger staff seem annoyed. Great place for meetings and Bible studies and mom meet ups. The coffee was the issue for me. if you are a coffee connoisseur, you might find this place a bit frustrating. The beans are excellent the taste is excellent but the cappuccino/latte are poorly executed. The first latte tasted burnt and the foam took up more than 50% of the cup, no exaggeration. I thought maybe the barista was new because the machinery is excellent quality. Second and third cappuccinos were also poorly executed. I hate leaving negative reviews but it is frustrating when you’re paying five dollars for a cup of coffee. I realize it’s a family owned shop, which I love, and I love to support small businesses so I genuinely hope they get some good training on foam and how to use that fantastic machine they have. Lastly, I’m sure it seems silly but, when you’re paying with a card, they turn the iPad around while they watch you to see if you are going to leave a tip and your options start at pledging your firstborn. I always get so anxious when they are staring at you to see how much tip you will give on your five dollar cup of coffee. And I get it, tips are great and I do tip, I’ve been in their shoes,, but man it’s stressful when you walk up to a counter for a drink and the pressure is all on you to...
Read moreBest Vanilla Latte I've had in NOVA, I would return just for that. The decor and ambiance I guess can be described like your old school coffee joint mixed with a Salvation Army store, very random things everywhere. Looked like there is a lot of space for kids to play and sit which I liked.
I ordered their Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish which I that was a regular Danish... Very thick, rich, and creamy filling not what I want for breakfast. I also ordered hot ham and cheese croissant, the croissant was very fresh and light but they piled the ham just in the center. Why? Now the nice guy did tell me this is made locally so I guess their vender is to blame, makes no sense why to only have the meat in the very center.
Overall, I'd try them again. The guy said their muffins are very popular so next time I will try their...
Read moreI can't believe I've been here a year and I haven't done a review on this place!!!!! So I moved to Nokesville, obviously like I said a year ago, and immediately fell in love with Vita Nova! I had spent 13 years at a barn that was right around the corner from the Starbucks that I frequented everyday. And Vita Nova stole my heart and won my business. Since moving to Nokesville I have started at a trucking company but any day I am home, obviously other than Sunday when they're closed, I am walking in their door to pick up my online order 😂 The atmosphere is super welcoming and I absolutely adore that they support local artists. Everybody knows me by name which I love that "cheers" feeling. If you haven't gone you just need to! You...
