I cannot for the life in me understand why this person who works at the cashier would behave like a 12 year old..
I have been idolizing this place and building it up in my mind since i moved to Arlington a couple of months ago, and i finally had time to pass by for a coffee and a sandwich.
I get to the window and give the cashier a huge smiling hello, and she is barely responsive. Side note: I didn't study for the exam before attempting to order, i looked up at the menu quickly but didn't memorize it. I ask her for a coffee and she has this weird look on her face, which made me doubt they served coffee, i asked her and she with an eye roll told me yes. While still smiling i asked her what one of their sandwich best sellers is and she rolled her eyes again and short of hitting the counter with her hand tells me that there is a menu. At this point i say ok thank you and i walked away... i believe this establishment does not want my money and there must be some confusion between who needs whom. While I'm walking away, she tell me the spots, where there are clearly faded lines, in front of the kiosk are not parking spots. I said it doesnt matter i am leaving. She repeated and said that it is not a parking spot, and i told her that if it is not, forgive me, we all make mistakes sometimes. Then she started wishing me a blessed day and telling me that my car is pretty and she didnt want anything to happen to it.
If you scroll through the pictures, you will see several cars parked in the spots. I dont know what i did to this person, or why she was this filled with attitude towards me l, but i dont need it, and she can keep it... never again for me or anyone i know. Im glad the 10 commandments are on the wall, maybe she should read them.
*Edit: I added some photos that you deleted so you could try to pretend that you were concerned for my safety. "Thou shall not lie". I please ask you to stop and accept that you were a bad person to me. You may be a very good person, but a bad person to me in our interaction. Our conversation started with you being annoyed with me for asking you what your best seller is. To pretend that it was for my safety is simply dishonest. And to try to defend your position and hide behind empty fake words... if you were concerned for my safety, why not simply tell me to move my car because you were worried about me? Go pull this stuff on someone else. I wish you well, in your...
Read moreI can appreciate a business that has been around for so long. However, longevity does not negate customer service. I called to ask a question. Keep in mind, I've never been there before, I'm not even a Virginia native. I have no idea that this place is a long standing restaurant. I asked whether they serve breakfast burritos. A simple yes or no would suffice. The woman on the phone says "it's the weenie Beenie. We serve american food". So I ask again...okay do you have breakfast burritos. She repeats herself and tells me they have been around for 70 years. I tell her I'm not from here, and couldn't really see a good image of the menu. She repeats herself telling me she cannot keep stuff for a breakfast burrito in the shop and some other words which made it clear she should not work in the service industry. I can appreciate what the name implies they sell...but they evidently sell eggs, burgers, turkey, and some reviews talk about fish. I'm in walking distance now from this place and I probably will never try this alleged "historic staple". Things change in 70 years, but respect and kindness shouldn't. I'm one person so I am a blip on their radar but I can't eat somewhere they won't even answer the phone with more respect. Keep your weenie,...
