This place is absolutely incredible! Hands down one of the best restaurants I've ever been to that's attached to a gas station - and definitely the best Indian restaurant attached to a gas station, period. The food is freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and here's the kicker - it's incredibly reasonably priced with generous portions that'll leave you speechless.

The Aloo Paratha for $5 was outstanding, and they include enough raita to make other restaurants weep (most places charge $4-5 for what they give you free). The biryani was spectacular - finally, a place that doesn't rely on salt as their main flavoring strategy!

But let's talk about the real MVP here: the Masala Chai. Just weeks ago, we were lamenting the crazy chai inflation - $7.99 a cup at three different East Coast Indian spots! I thought $4.99 was highway robbery, remembering the good old days of $1.99-$2.99 chai.

Well, this little dhaba-style gem tucked inside a Visalia gas station completely restored my faith. Picture this: maybe 1,000 sq ft total (including kitchen), probably subleased space, serving authentic roadside Indian fare designed for truck drivers - home-style cooking that's satisfying but not heavy (so drivers stay alert on the road).

The chai? A massive 24 oz cup for $1.99! Compare that to the tiny 6-8 oz portions everywhere else charges double or triple for. I couldn't believe it - cheapest chai I've seen in 25 years and easily in my top 5 for taste.

I recently visited Apna Punjab Indian Restaurant and had an absolutely wonderful dining experience! 🍽️ The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Went here on a Monday afternoon. Place wasn't too busy. Make sure you park at the Sinclair parking lot.

The restaurant is within the Sinclair gas station where Greyhound has their bus stop. Very colorful interior with loads of Indian snacks available for purchase. You order at the counter, but you sit anywhere and there's menus. I ordered a goat curry (16oz), garlic naan, mango lassi and a side rice. My friend got goat biryani. The meat of the goat was soon tender. Literally forking butter was how tender the meat was. Spices were amazing. Mango lassi was legit! Not too sweet and refreshing. Goat biryani was very flavorful too.
