WE WENT HERE ONLY BECAUSE WE HAD $9 FROM A BOOK OF GIFT CHECKS. IT WASN T BUY ONE GET ONE + BUY 2 DRINKS. BASICALLY ITS A RIP OFF. I CAN SAY THERE WAS NO WAIT AND THE SLASA IS GREAT. MY DAUGHTER GOT ENCHILADS ROMANAS. TWO TORTILLAS WITH NO CHEESE INSIDE AT ALL! ( I ALWAYS THOUGHT ENCHILADAS HAVE CHEESE IN AND ON TOP). THE TOP HAD A VERY FEW SPRECKLES OF CHEESE. I MEAN LIKE WE COULD'VE COUNTED THEM INDIVIDUALLY. SHE DIDNT WANT TO ASK FOR AN EXCHANGE. IT WAS $18. FOR THAT AND A BUNCH OF RICE AND BEANS THAT ARE AVERAGE. I TRIED IT TOO. NO FLAVER AT ALL. WE ASKED FOR MORE CHEESE. THE WAITRESS BROUGHT OUT A LITTLE TO GO CUP. We didn't know till later they charged $2.50 for that! WE NEEDED IT TO MELT on enchiladas. SO SO CHINSY. BUT REALLY?! WE WERE ON A TIME CONSTRAINT. SHE TAKES CARE OF HER DAD AND HAS A FULL TIME JOB. SHE HAS TO BE PROMPT MEETING THE OTHER CARE GIVER TO CHANGE HIM. MY TOSTATDA TASTED LIKE ANY OTHER. BUT WHEN I DO GET A BT's on MOONEY IT IS double the sz. of Azul's (who serves it on a standard flat corn tortilla) & BT's is half the price. WHEN I FINALLY GOT THE RECEIPT AND CALLED, ANNA DIDN'T OFFER A DO OVER. SHE SAID THE proto call THINGS LIKE THX FOR LETTING ME KNOW AND AN UNGENUINE SORRY. THEY LOST OUR BUSINESS FOREVER. WE'VE ALREADY TOLD A FEW PEOPLE. ANA MADE A POOR CHOICE. ALSO SAID THERE WAS CHEESE ON TOP. I SAID IT WAS NOTHING AT ALL LIKE I COULD COUNT THEM. SO CHEAP note:...
Read moreI'll be honest I haven't been here for at least 5 years, the fact that its on the northside doesn't help since its usually the side I forget we have sometimes.
But lately I've been seeing them advertise their new Ribeye Chicharrones (pork rinds), I just had to come by and try them. Also the fact that I've been wanting a shrimp cocktail, I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone.
Got my order to go undecided to eat it at home. If its just me I don't usually dine in anywhere.
The Shrimp Cocktail came in the usual 32oz cup and it wass full near to the brim, come with its side of ketchup and hot sauce so you could flavor it to your liking. It had plenty of vegetables and a good healthy amount of shrimp.
The Ribeye Chicharrones were cooked to perfection and not too fatty given the meat used and the fact their basically a mexican version of pork rinds. They come with served on melted cheese, a side of beans and some warm tortillas so you can make tacos out of them. I was quite impressed and honestly the only time i have ever truly enjoyed chicharrones.
Overall I think it was a success because after I was done, I had to do laps around my apartment and eventually I beached myself on my couch till I could move! Azul you have a very happy customer.
Thank you Jose...
Read moreAzuls owners I know this isn’t your fault but please read this comment. I eat here all the time. At 6:38pm on 5/28. I walked in by myself to place a to go order. A family of 3 walks in right behind me. Employee says hello I said I’m here to place. She says okay then asks the group behind me they say table for 3. She walks them to their table I see her coming back to the front so I’m thinking sweet im next. Nope. Phone rings she continues to take an entire to go order as I’m still patiently waiting. Gets off the phone turns to me and asks what I was there for again? I responded trying to place an order to go. In that moment phone starts ringing again. I jokingly said u sure you don’t wanna help them before me too? She turns answers the phone and proceeds to take another to go order. Read the room lady went from first to being helped to 4th somehow. Make it make sense. Azuls owners have always treated me right when I come in no matter how big or small the order is. Just thought you should know your employees aren’t...
