Update 06/2024: Today I stopped by and ordered a Carnegie sada with cheese taco and a steak and egg taco with cheese for breakfast. The server was courteous and the food came out quick and hot. I stop here almost every time on my way to Laredo. The food is consistently good and they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you are headed southbound on Interstate 35 this restaurant is very convenient with off and on highway access. However, if you are northbound on 35 it's not as easy to get to. It was my first time here. I had the nopalitos con huevos with flour tortillas. I don't usually order nopalitos but I thought I'd give it a try here. To my pleasant surprise, it was outstanding!! The only reason I docked them one star is the service. Both my co-worker and I ran out of Coke zero and it took a long time for the waitress to come by and offer a refill. Other than that, I will definitely visit this place next time I pass through. And, I would recommend it to others.

This is my parents favorite place to eat every Sunday after church so this is where they wanted us all to go after mass for their anniversary. I had the cheese enchiladas with carne guisada. It was good, not great. I had a margarita which was pretty tart, I was told they weren't allowed to serve until noon. I looked up the law because I thought she was wrong and according to Texas law we are allowed to buy alcoholic beverage after 10am with our meal. She made me wait 20 minutes. This is a not a fancy place but my parents love the food. My mother said everything she's had there is good. The menudo looked good. The meals are priced well and service was good. They charged me $.50 extra for the onions, enchiladas should come with onions.

It was so good, I literally fell asleep at the table 😩. I ordered food for the next few days. The Owner was there an he shared a few of his favorite recipes 😋 with me. I love this place. They have Truck parking. 🚚 Most definitely will be coming back. Easy pull off the hwy area... for trucks 🚚 or cars 🚗 . All this came up to $33 plus I tipped $20.00 Plenty space if Buses 🚌 want to stop by. It's a nice size restaurant an the bathroom was very clean. They truly Sanitize this store I sat there and watched them move the tables and move the chairs and clean and wipe down everything I would definitely recommend this place to the people who are clean freaks lol...

If you like COLD-ish food & GREAT service this is the place. My husband & I wanted something different. I got Cheese Enchiladas which were COOL - cheese was not MELTED & rice was ok but also cool-ish. BUT JUMP BACK on their BEANS these were HOT & REALLY GOOD. When I let our server know about food it was like OH NO LET'S get some that are hot & better. I told her I would take them home & eat them there. OMG she was the BEST & SO Nice. I would go back just for her!! Don't forget about them TORTS they were like my GRANDMA'S HOT & FLUFFY BEAT EVER. MY HUSBAND said maybe it was the time we went which was about 5:00. Been there for lunch a while back & it was GOOD!! I will be going back to give them another try & HOPE that...
