I would give 0 stars if I could! Went there with an appointment for a passport, had all of my paperwork ready to go. Linda Garcia (postmaster) takes one look at my birth certificate, which is from out of state, and tells me it’s not the right form. I let her know it is my original birth certificate and has all of the requirements as listed on the Travel.gov website and she doubles down; now with an attitude. She tells me she had received a memo saying they can’t accept any birth certificate with the word abstract on it. I guess she didn’t realize that only applied to BC from Texas & California! It’s the same style birth certificate two of my brothers had used to get their passports successfully. At that point I had wasted an hour and got nothing accomplished.
I then had to go the next day to the City Passport office and with the wonderful help of Sylvia, used the same exact documents and got it processed immediately. So do yourself a favor and just go straight to the city and not waste your time trying to get a passport at the...
Read moreI was hoping this post office would be perfect to get my passport taken care of but I was wrong, the lady who handled my paperwork was the rudest lady EVER, her name is Lynda Garcia, I’ve never had any issues with any post office like I did with this one and I will never go back , walking in I already knew she was in a bad mood did not greet , I told her hi I’m here for my passport and she rudely asked if I had an appointment which I did, she quickly looked at my paperwork and said you need a copy of front and back DL, right behind her was a copier and she said you need to go take care of this and reschedule your appointment very rude, I was willing to pay for my copies but she handed my folder of paperwork and walked away, I was the only customer there and 2 seconds to make a copy would not have been an issue, I was in total shock that she would treat customers this way and be so rude, there’s no need to treat customers this way and hopefully she can learn to be more patient...
Read moreIf you are applying for a passport with an out of state license here, please know that you need a second form of photo ID. It is not required by the federal agency, so that requirement is not listed on any of the paperwork when you are applying or scheduling. This piece of information is only shared with you when you show up to their counter. If you do happen to have a second form of ID on you, they'll ask you to go to a gas station across the interstate to get a photocopy of it for your application. The only other form of ID I had was a military ID which is illegal to copy. My lack of second form of ID made the process much more difficult, and will likely cause delays in the receipt of my passport. While I don't disagree with this policy, I do believe that the information needs to be made available to those who are scheduling to apply for...
